Personal Issues Over Patient Care
After being admitted to the Blue Hill ED for heart issues, my husband developed a GI bleed due to overdosing with meds. When discussing situation and our frustration with Dr. Koett, she continually repeated herself until my husband said “stop talking.” She immediately took offense, called him “rude” and brought in a nurse to “witness” the interaction between us. Rather than acknowledge the patient’s physical, mental and emotional stress, this doctor focussed on her own feelings. We subsequently discharged AMA and are safely ensconced at a more understanding hospital elsewhere.
