Dr. Jamie Hymel, MD

I have had a great experience here and with Dr. Hymel and Casey Barnes, NP! I had my first baby in January, and being a physician myself, I was so worried about all the potential things that I knew could go wrong. Dr Hymel kept me grounded while being very supportive. I love her cool-as-a-cucumber demeanor, and I knew that if I needed an emergency c-section, etc, I needed a doc who is both capable and calm. I was reading some reviews about wait times— from personal experience, I know that docs get behind in clinic for SO many reasons - usually out of our control, and in a case of an OBGYN, babies come whenever they want to- but finding a doc or NP that are worth potentially waiting for is key. I’ll wait any amount of time for them and will be back for my future GYN care and children.

Dr. Hymel is a pleasant person, but she doesn't customize her services according to individual patients' needs. I had to ask for tests to be performed for specific levels, and there were hardly any instructions given about the medications prescribed. Though my baby was delivered safely, I wouldn't recommend her if you are having complications. The clinic is high-volume, and they seem to rush through the process without paying attention to patient-specific details. I would recommend her only for normal pregnancies.

I had my first baby a year ago and Dr. Hymel was my Ob. She always kept me very informed and listened to my questions and concerns. I never felt very rushed with her. My only complaints is sometimes the office wait times were very very long. Other than that I have no critiques. I really felt like Dr. Hymel cared and wanted to take care of me and my baby! She is one of a kind in her skill and dedication! I have loved my experience with her! She is the best. Would highly recommend her!

Dr Hymel is an amazing doctor, and talks to you like you are a friend! She explains things very easily and does not make you feel stupid. She has been nothing but amazing and she is great with making patients feel comfortable! Her staff is some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met! I HIGHLY recommend her!

My wife had issues a few days prior to her scheduled C-section and had to be admitted. Her doctor was out of town so Dr Hymel saw us and made us feel very comfortable, and she was an amazing surgeon when delivering our baby that day. She was very kind and comforting during a stressful time for us.

Dr.Hymel is very professional but yet always makes me feel comfortable each time I visit her. She's very friendly and takes her time with each patient to make sure everything is covered and discussed.

Dr. Hymel is the best. She is very understanding and makes me feel comfortable during my visits. She was the first doctor to listen to concerns I had been experiencing for 10 years, and finally gave me a diagnosis. I'm extremely grateful for her service.

My young teenaged daughter's breasts seemed to not be developing normally. My daughter is extremely modest and was horrified about going to the doctor. She started to have a panic attack in the exam room! Dr. Hymel came in, saw how distraught and anxious my daughter was, and handled it like a pro. She calmed my daughter down, gave my daughter choices to give her some control back, and won my daughter over with her personality. Dr. Hymel did a discrete exam and diagnosed her. We both love her!!
