Be prepared to wait an hour at every visit. Expect her to be out of her office for a week at at time on a regular basis. Treatments and office visits will be scheduled when she is in the office or hospital, not when you need them. She will in no circumstance be reachable by phone. Her staff is not reachable by phone, but will normally return your call you within 24 hours. She will expect you to drive from Ft. Smith, Jonesboro or Texarkana to set across desk from her to get critical test results which could just as easily be conveyed by phone or email. It is all about her and little about you.

Dr. Jamie Burton: Kicking Cancer at Conway CARTI!
Dr. Jamie Burton has been treating my breast cancer since the fall of 2021. She has consistently shown me kindness and has provided excellent care -- right in my hometown -- which has been such a blessing. Her manner is always calm, friendly, and encouraging. She listens to my concerns, answers every question, and offers sound advice. Her nurses are precious, and the team always responds quickly if I think of a question between visits, or if I need a refill or something. The one time I asked for a change with my treatment, she listened to my concerns, adjusted my dosage, and there were no additional problems. (We had just started a brand new chemo, but after that first dose, I did fine.) I did not know Dr. Burton before my cancer journey, but my local doctors felt confident that I would be in great hands -- and I definitely have been. I would recommend her to anyone who is going through a cancer journey. I'm so thankful for her and for the entire CARTI team! They are just amazing!

Terrible experience
Dr. Burton is far from professional in her demeanor and attitude. Her appointments are rushed, yet you will be in the waiting room up to three hours. During my last appointment with her, she was so intense, snappish and rude from the moment she walked into the exam room that the nurse taking transcriptions was gasping while trying to maintain her countenance. Instead of providing information, she approaches her patients with accusations and informs them that ‘they will not follow her advice anyway’. My experience with her was detrimental to my path towards healing. Save your mental health and find a doctor who values you and your overall health rather than their ego.

Dr Burton was a terrible experience for me. She doesn’t listen. My tumor markers tend to run a little high. She did not take the time to read my file before scaring me in ordering new scans, telling me it didn’t look good. After the scans revealed that all was well, she then, shared that the higher numbers according to my record appeared to be normal for me. 11 year survivor, save yourself some heartache and choose a different doctor.

I would not recommend Dr. Burton. She does not listen. She is quick to answer without fully listening to the patient. I had to pull answers out of her; I am thankful that I knew the right questions to ask. She is argumentative and lacks even an ounce of compassion towards her patients. I waited several weeks to see her and had a 40-minute wait to be met with hostility. I thought it was maybe me; maybe I looked weird in my mask. But as I was leaving, I heard to speaking to a nurse; I think she might just be rude. There are a lot of better physicians in Little Rock. Please do not waste your time with her.

Doctor Burton has been caring for my mother throughout her brain tumor diagnosis until now. We appreciate her and staff drive for making sure my mother is well taken care of in this rough journey. Dr. Burton and CARTI have gone above and beyond for us. We are thankful for their existence and know they will be of help to many more patients. May God bless CARTI and staff ?

I see Dr. Burton in her Conway office and believe her to be a capable and caring doctor. Follow up appointments are preset, but if needed, you can be scheduled in quickly. She diagnosed my condition and was able to explain what's going on in my body in a way I understand, without making me feel like a fool. I'm not rushed through my office visits but allowed to ask any questions I have, and have them answered. The office staff is courteous and professional. The only negatives in using this facility is Dr. Burton is only in Conway one day a week and the wait times can be a bit long. But, I am more than willing to wait a bit in order to receive the care that is offered. Yes. I am a satisfied patient that has recommended this practice to others.

Regret we ever stepped foot in her office. Costing over $50,000 with an oral surgeon to repair the damage.
