Dr. Wages won't look you in the eye when talking
Dr. Wages won't look you in the eye, his eyes roll around in his head, literally. He discounts your own experience with pain. (I've had 4 back ops, not by them thank gawd)He is absolutely the worst doctor I've ever been to see about pain management. He won't look me in the eye and he wants to inject something in my back!

Initial visit
Dr Wages didn’t listen well, talked more than he listened, answered my 2 questions before I even finished asking and I didn’t feel comfortable asking any more, felt rushed through, he was on the cocky and arrogant side, I didn’t feel reassured or confident with what he said was causing my pain. Although I somewhat understand, I felt humiliate at 65 y/o to be required to take a drug test to be seen as a new patient. His office called after I left to schedule an injection and he only briefly mentioned an option to do an injection but he did not discuss scheduling an injection. One of the worse patient experience I’ve ever had as a new patient. He didn’t connect with well me.

I have been seeing Dr. Wages and staff for over 2 years. They are amazing. Very thorough, thoughtful and caring. Willing to discuss what's wrong and options to try to fix it. Doesn't prescribe unnecessary medication and if one doesn't help, he says to stop taking it. I would rate 10 stars if I could.

I was limited in my previous review so would like to finish. Dr Wages was NO help to my wife on previous visits so don’t know why I expected things to be different this time. Shame on him for allowing a partially and poorly trained “assistant” to screen his visits. You ARE judged by the company you keep. A word of advice—don’t allow your minions to run your practice into the ground due to lack of training and incompetence. When you allow them to speak for you and make decisions YOU should be making it certainly reflects on YOUR competence. Did you train to help people or to make money? Because your staff certainly didn’t mind charging for the appointment we didn’t get with YOU. You should reconsider allowing your staff to make YOUR decisions.

Dr. Wages was very helpful in explaining step by step everything about my spine issues. This is the ONLY Dr. that has ever done this. I am so appreciative of Dr.Wages and his staff for their kindness and caring attitudes. It's so nice to walk into a facility where you know they want to truly help you and they truly care. Dr. Wages & his staff are wonderful. I'm so thankful we have them in our area. He sees both my husband & myself for various injections in our backs/spine & has done the "nerve burning"(radiofrequency ablation) procedure for my husband. We have had excellent results from all treatment. Dr. Wages techniques are the best! He is very friendly, knowledgeable & has a great bedside manner..total package!

His office staff and medical staff are probably the most friendly and welcoming group in NE Texas. They make me want to hurt my back just to come back!(I’m kidding) It starts with the intake professionals who really make you feel welcome. The evaluating teams assess what’s going on and then you see the Dr. My take on him is that he is tremendously skilled and caring. I have a very bad back and he is doing all he can to give me relief. The PAs are also skilled and friendly. 5 stars for all!

Absolutely the rudest Doctor I have ever met with. Cut me off every time I tried to answer his questions. Had a hateful tone and basically talked over me and told me that the pain wasn't going to kill me. Waited an hour to see him. Was never asked when I could schedule a shot, was just given an appointment and told that was when it was set.

Dr. Wages is awesome! He is the kindest, most pleasant, and caring Dr. I've met in years. He has a genuine concern for each and every one of his patients. He takes the time to talk to you and try his best to help with whatever your problem is. In my case, he has done research on things on his own time just to see if there is some treatment that is new that might help relieve my pain. I am so thankful to him for opening his practice in Texarkana. The drive to Tyler every 3 months was hard on me.

I have had a pinched nerve in my hip for years. I finally decided to try to get some help for it. I had an MRI to find out exactly where it was located. X-RAY also. Dr. Wages and his staff were very helpful. He gave me a shot in my hip that was supposed to do some good. It has been now nearly two weeks since the shot and my hip is not a bit better. If anything it is worse. I don't know if he put it in the wrong place or not. But I am not going to pay him anymore for something that did not work.

I went for a consult and scheduled my first injection. I was very pleased with the timely manner my procedure was scheduled. I went for the follow up with the APN and found her to be professional. I am also pleased that I now have appointments every three months. This means I don't have to do the referral thing again.

After an injection on july 10 and follow up with a nurse practioner on August 10. There has been no other appt made, no call from doctors office, despite the calls i have made to find out the next step to take. Its now Friday August 26 and i was told Tuesday August 23 i would be contacted by the end of this week. I called at 2:30 in the afternoon and what do you know, they've closed at noon on Friday. Incompetent office workers and staff. I've called my doctor to refer me to a better facility.

I never actually got to see the dr, but his front desk staff is very unprofessional. They take forever to return calls and will come out and talk in front of other patients about you. I was told that i was not wanted there because of a upset stomach ,that was from some new medicine. The lady went on to say she didn't want me infecting her patients. Everyone else could hear everything she said and it was very humiliating. If there was a need for me to leave they should have done it privately.
