Condescending staff
This review is not for Dr. Sutton. I saw their new temporary doctor. The review is for the staff. When I arrived on time for my appointment I was not told there would be an hour wait as they were down one doctor. At the hour mark when I questioned how long the wait would be I was told 'I' had to be more patient. She placed the blame of their lack of respect for every patient in the waiting room back on the patients. I have worked in doctors offices for over 30 years. If you know there is a long wait it is the professional, not to mention, respectful thing to do is let the patients know. They can then choose to stay or reschedule. It is not the professional thing to do is to argue and blame the patient for your scheduling issues.

Great doctor, HOWEVER.....Be prepared to WAIT long hours. It doesn't matter if your appointment is the first of the day, somehow there is always a long wait. After 9 years of going there several times a year (for my appointments or those of my kids'), I have realized that this is an institutional problem of this clinic. YOU WILL ALWAYS WAIT, AT LEAST 1 HOUR, TO BE SEEN. Sometimes, I have gone there for my 8:30 am appointment (in Ocean Springs) and leave close to 11. The doctor sees me 3 minutes, the rest of the time is seating in the waiting room, WAITING. I find this unacceptable. Oh, and don't expect them to apologize, or give you any sort of explanation, they call you when they call you, and if you are called 1 hour after your appointment time, consider yourself lucky, as many of us have waited much more than that.

Dr Sutton in your face. No facemask. Inches from my face and no mask. Rude staff. Front office manager is Renee who is the nastiest hag ever. No masks. Fill wait rooms up clearly needs billing. No concern for your health. Worst experience ever

NOT WEARING MASKS for exams. Neither the doctor or nurse wear masks for the exams. This is pretty poor practice considering they have to get right up to you for the eye exam. They also make you wait an hour and tell you that you are rude if you ask why. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. SUTTON.

Excellent staff and service. Very professional. Don't understand the complaints of negative posters. Sounds like they were unable to make their appointment at the scheduled time and expected the Doctor to ignore others that were "on time" to wait til the late ones got seen. This procedure has corrected my vision and removed my cataracts which has freed me from having to wear glasses. What a gift this Doctor has in being able to restore my good vision that I had lost over the last 20 years.

Made 2 appointments to change to correct contact lens strength after trial pair was not working. First one they had "no appt. on record." After waiting an hour, I just left. Second appt. I called due to accident on interstate I would be late and was told I had 15 min. grace. I arrived 9 min. late and waited ONE HOUR, THIRTY MIN. before being seen!

I waited 2 weeks for an appointment- did all the patient registration online the day I made the appointment- Ins information included. Apparently no one utilized the information prior to my appointment. The day of my appointment, I waited 45 minutes to be told my ins staff was in a meeting and they could not verify my benefits so they would not be able to see me until they verified ins. I offered to pay bill in full and settle with ins myself later on- still cancelled my appointment. REDICULOUS!

Would NOT recommend this doctor. Was stuck in traffic on the way to appointment. Called and let "Ashley" know that it looked like we would be 5 minutes late. "Ashley's" reply was that I would have to reschedule because the doctor was leaving the office. This is completely bogus and just illustrates the level of consideration this office has for it's patients.
