He sent for a nuclear stress test. He told me that the results showed a blockage in my heart and stated a cardiac catheter would be the next step. He told me the chance of death from the catheter procedure and that they would put in a stent if needed. He also said if things were worse than they anticipated when they went in, they would stop and determine if they needed to do open heart surgery. He pushed for the cardiac catheter despite my reservations. I got a second opinion and am so very glad I did. The second doctor did not feel I really had a blockage and agreed the cardiac catheter was invasive based on my lack of symptoms. One heart cat scan later - I am normal. No CAD or blockages. I truly feel that he was pushing the more invasive option. The positive part is this situation did scare me into changing my lifestyle for the better. However, I truly feel he was trying to scare me based on the conversation we had. I would not recommend him for his knowledge or his bedside manner.

Dr. Skorczewski performed a Cardiac Catheterization test and stent implant on me this past Monday. I couldn't have been more impressed. His consultation style is very much patient friendly. He went into great detail about causes, procedures, and rehabilitation. Most importantly he genuinely cares about his patients, and loves what he is doing. I knew I was in great hands!
