Very Disappointed
I brought my 14 year old son to see Dr. Paci for shoulder pain. Dr. Paci was very short with us, mumbled to the nurse while looking at Xrays, did not answer questions, acted like he couldn't be bothered and was extremely rude to my son. This doctor has terrible bedside manner did not smile a single time during our interaction. My son left the appointment fearful and in tears. Doctors need some level of patience and compassion, and I found Dr. Paci to show none of that. We changed doctors within the same practice and were much more satisfied.

Very rude, felt like I was not worth his time
Rudely introduced himself at the start of the appointment. He asked me where the pain was, and then was annoyed that I answered before he "finished" his tests. During the evaluation once he found out that it did not require surgery he became even ruder. It felt like I was not worth his time.

I originally visited Dr Paci for a shoulder injury. After seeing multiple surgeons he was the first to truly explain,in terms I could understand, what happened to my shoulder and what I could expect if I decided to correct the issue through surgery. I did opt for the surgery. I completely recommend recovered and shoulder works just as well as it ever did. Approximately a year later I tore my acl. I returned to Dr paci who once again fixed me up as good as new.

While Dr. Paci is a highly regarded doctor, his office is terrible with regard to responding to phone messages. Had to call three times, leave messages and finally someone called me back.

My husband called to make an appointment and when he hung up he looked at me with his mouth open. He could NOT believe how RUDE the woman answering the phone was. If this is the person you choose to represent your ortho group and is on the front line when dealing with potential patients, I’m not sure of your judgement as an MD

He was by far the least communicative Dr I have ever met. I saw him after a mountain biking accident. He refused to answer any questions directly and would only answer a question with a question. He also gave no actual description to me about my condition. I had to look things up on the internet to figure out what was wrong: Is may sholder dislocated or separated - oh, separated, last week you said “ dislocated”, What degree separated? Etc...

I am a competitive athlete and hurt my shoulder a couple of years ago. It got better for a while but then went downhill. Not only did he help that shoulder- the surgery went well, and he found tearing in the labrum and other issues that went undiagnosed for ages- but he also solved the mystery of why my ankles sprain so easily and why some of my other joints act mildly unstable. The one downside is that his secretary isn't exactly the best at returning calls when you leave a voicemail.

James Paci wrongly diagnose the cause of my shoulder pain, without able to identify a bone spur on my acromium. He prescribed me 6 months of physiotherapy, and i was left without any significant improvement in my conditions. I only found that out the real cause at another orthopedic surgeon 1 year later in another state.

Dr Paci performed surgery on my daughter's knee. It was an ACL reconstruction along with meniscus repairs. He did a wonderful job on her surgery, and before and after surgery explained the process. Afterwards, she had some issues with the anesthesia, and he called me on the HIS cell phone to arrange the proper care for her. How many Dr's would call late at night to do that? My daughter is now playing D2 lacrosse and moving with confidence. Thanks Dr. Paci!

I recently had my bicep tendon repaired by Dr. Paci. I found Dr. Paci to be competent, friendly and experienced with this procedure. He took the time to go over what to expect during surgery as well as the recovery. He also followed up with a call the evening after my procedure to see how I was recovering. I'd also like to mention that the staff at the hospital and office were both friendly and helpful.
