Told kidney stone pain was period pain.
I saw Dr. O'Reilly once at Nashua Pediatrics when I was 20. It was an urgent app't due to extreme right side pain, accompanied by blood in the urine, so he was not my normal doctor but happened to be on-call that day. He seemed put-off by the fact that I wasn't a child and dismissive of my pain. He actually told me I was just 'getting my period' and that the blood in my urine was just mixing with menstrual blood. At 20 years old I knew what I was experiencing wasn't even remotely like period pain, but he brushed me off. He even told the nurse to discard my urine sample which seemed to shock her. The following day I ended up in the E.R. and was diagnosed with a kidney stone. One of the most negligent experiences I've ever had with a physician.
