He made me trust his diagnosis.
He was friendly to me. Perhaps he read the reviews and tried to improve? Anyway, after having visit other 6 doctors, he was the one who actually sold me the course of action to take. He answered clearly and give me confidence when he explained me all the possible outcomes.

Most caring, talented, concerned, skilled Dr I have ever been to. I had polio in 1941 and obviously went through many Dr’s in that time. Having had over 40 operations in last eighty years I can still call him for some direction to take if not provided himself. As my favorite singer George Jones had a song, “There will be never be another”.

If you need foot or ankle surgery, you need Dr. Nunley. He is so good at what he does, HOWEVER, as a person he is one of the most unpleasant and discourteous people you will ever encounter. Exceptionally unpleasant to interact with. He is condescending to the staff that work with him and equally unpleasant to patients. NO BEDSIDE MANNER. I actually addressed this with him and he then became very patronizing and artificial - does NOT like to be challenged or addressed on his poor behavior.

Dr Nunley operates on both my feet and knee. Wouldn’t take anything for the outcome. Great results. I found him to be very informative and concern. Very good disposition and good bedside manners. Very pleasant him and all the staff. I’d give him and the whole experience five stars all the way around. He told me to exactly like he said and I’d have no problems. It’s been around 15 years ago with no problems. He’s the best!

I think Dr. Nunley and his colleagues are fine doctors. The problem is that they are all nearing retirement and apparently have made the decision to take on as many patients as possible for surgery. This is fine at face value, however every surgery requires a multitude of office visits. Their Creek Road office, the office staff, and the med staff's ability to handle these office visits is totally lacking. Patients unable to get timely appointments, waiting room jammed, always excessive wait time

When I went to Dr. Nunley, I was in terrible pain with my right foot. My ankle was almost touching the ground, I limped and I couldn't stand in one spot for more than a few minutes at a time. I spent years looking for someone who could help - orthopedic clinic, pain clinic, mindfulness, Physical therapy, chiropractics, exercise. Nothing worked. I went to DrNunley who knew what I needed and performed a foot reconstruction. Five years later, I am still grateful for his skill. BEST DECISION I MADE

Dr. James Nunley is technically very skilled. However, his interpersonal skills are very weak. As a patient of the doctor, I believe that when he looks at me he sees a condition and procedure, and is somewhat unaware that there is a human being attached. He has a supercilious attitude. His manner of responding to questions verges on dismissive. Would I recommend to family or friend? No, not because of his clinical skills, but because of his poor bedside manner.

Dr. Nunley is obviously a smart guy and accomplished in his field. My issue with him stems more from his arrogance and dismissive attitude when a patient asked some simple and basic question on their treatment plan. After my last visit with him when he was 20 minutes late and spent 5 minutes with me with the same arrogance and dismissive attitude I vowed it would be my last.

Not very friendly. Was in and out of the room in 7 minutes after we waited an hour for him. He was very rude and abrupt when he came in and did not stay in the building long enough for us to ask questions. WILL NOT BE BACK.
