Dr. James Montgomery, MD

I love Dr. Dugan, but the office staff is horrible. They now tell me that their office is no longer in my insurance network, refuse to even try to submit the claim for the visit, and demand self pay before even seeing the doctor. Dr. Dugan even told me that nothing had changed, yet I still paid the non insurance fee for the visit. Contacted insurance, and yes, he and Dr. Montgomery are both in-network providers. But office staff argues with me and insists they are out of my network. I now have no choice but to find another provider, as I need a follow up for a PVD. The office needs professional office staff.

Although Dr. Montogomery is a good doctor, his office staff is subpar. I have cataract surgery set for mar 3, 2020. I had an appt today feb 10 , initially set for 1pm. Last Friday I received a call from the office rescheduling my appt for 220p today. I went in and was seen within minutes. The tech informed me that she would be doing the dilation, I told her no that was there for a measurement of my eyeballs for the impending surgery. Needless to say there was a huge mix up. I was even accused of being late for my appt; I informed them that the office had changed my appt not the other way around. I felt, then, that proceeding with this practice would be not a wise move....damn, if they screw up an appt what will the surgery be like. I lost all confidence in the entire practice. Again. Let me say that Dr. MONTGOMERY is good doctor, in my estimation, but the people who work for him are not the best. SO I GUESS THAT I WILL BE LOOKING FOR A NEW DOCTOR.....after 10 years.
