Another day on Earth
I was introduced to Dr Mohn as an emergent STEMI. I was in distress, and he met us in the hall as paramedics brought me in from a local hospital. Dr Mohn went right to work, as did his staff. Although the situation was emergent, he took a beat to listen to me tell him of my history that may have implications for the present procedure about to begin. and I was trying to text my wife where I was quickly, and I recall he said something like, 'You know it's 2025 when we have to wait to perform heart surgery for the patient to finish his text'. I then explained briefly what past issues I had and he calmly said I would be alright as I would be awake for the procedure. I was awake; it was a bit surreal, but I was curious, and I tried to see what I could see; technology is cool, and Dr. Mohn made it look simple; it sounded like a well-rehearsed play, and their performance was spectacular. I owe a debt of gratitude to Dr Mohn and the crew he had in there that day. 3-3-2025.
