Don’t go here
I was a new patient on my first visit. I had all my medical records sent to Dr. McDonald. When I saw Dr. McDonald he ordered tests that were just done by my previous PCP. Lab draws, X-rays,ekg, ect. On my bill Dr. McDonald Charged me $40 to tell me I was obese and $45 not to smoke. Really? I’m on Medicare I don’t need multiple tests he got all the $ he could charge me for; he then “discharged” me as patient. No explanation, After calling the nurse manager and leaving multiple messages with no response; I gave up, Don’t go here.

My family's PCP since the early 90s
We first saw Dr. McDonald when he was a new doctor filling in for our former pediatrician. We have followed him to three different practices. He literally saved my life and personally called me at 7 am after looking at my chest x-ray from the day before. He became friends and partners in my health with my cardiologist. Before everyone knew about him, he took time to get to know my sons and me personally. But a great doctor doesn't stay a secret and COVID has him overworked and overbooked, which he hates. I'm not looming forward to the day he retires because I know I won't find another PCP like him. My sons (now adults) and I love this guy! His wife used to be his PA and she is awesome, too. I knew him when he still a single guy. He and my cardiologist are the two best docs I've ever had. The kind of family doctor you don't see much of anymore. The best!

This doctor is amazing. He is booked most of the time and you have to wait to see him often times. BUT, he is a very kind doctor who works with you to resolve any medical issues. He is just the best doctor ever!

We have seen this physician for well over 20 years. He is an excellent listener and has an empathetic demeanor. He is very knowledgeable and has always resolved any medical issues we have had in a timely manner. His only downfall is he spends so much time with each patient he sometimes gets progressively behind as the day goes on. We usually ask for first appt in the am or right after lunch. But he is worth the wait regardless. And if its urgent just see a PA or NP.

I went to see Dr. McDonald 2 times for weight loss management. I sat in the chair next to the computer both times and never moved - never got on the exam table. I got my bill from him and he stated he performed a full annual physical on me and dictated a full exam for both visits. I never left the chair, and he didn't touch me other than to listen to my heart. But he is refusing to change his dictation. I will NEVER go back here and would advise everyone else to avoid this place and this doctor.
