Outstanding Surgeon
Dr. Martin clearly explained the procedures that would be used and answered all of our questions. Thanks to his surgical skills and endurance, the almost 7 hours of surgery must have gone flawlessly, to give me such a fantastic recovery. I am eternally grateful for Dr Martin and his wonderful team at the Center for Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery.

He was totally forthcoming discussing the surgery and, in spite of pressure during surgery, stuck to the robotic method instead of switching surgery technique. It would have been easier for him to abandon robotics but harder for me, as patient, to recover.

Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon
Dr. Martin thoroughly explained my lung surgery, step by step, from start to finish. He took all the time I needed and answered every question I had. On the morning of the surgery, he was upbeat and put me at ease. The surgery and hospital stay went as well as it possibly could have. In our follow-up meeting, Dr. Martin explained everything that needed to be done in the future. If you need this type of surgery, I highly recommend Dr. James R. Martin. If need be, I would have Dr. Martin perform my surgery again.
