Jim Markowitz saved our son. When we arrived in his office our 12-year-old son was just 58 pounds and suffering painful daily stomach aches. Our pediatricians completely missed the diagnosis and ignored our pleas for help. So our son hadn't grown for about five years -- since he was about 7. As parents, we were at our wits end trying to discover what was happening. The minute we sat down in Dr. Markowitz's office he looked at our son and said, "I know why you have stomach aches. I know why you're not growing. And I'm going to help you feel better." And he did, indeed, help our son feel better. Thank goodness for Dr. Jim Markowitz.

I have never in my life been scolded by a doctor until I met Dr. Markowitz. I am a Healthcare provider, and when I told him that i didn't want to continue a medication that wasn't working for my son, he yelled at me on the phone like I was a child. Never went back to him again. Unacceptable and unprofessional to say the least

The absolute worst experience we've ever had with ANY doctor ANYWHERE. This guy should not be practicing medicine -- ESPECIALLY for children. Insensitive, obnoxious, rude, disrespectful -- should I go on? He was a no-show for my son's colonoscopy and endoscopy. He was on vacation. When we asked him why he didn't show on the day his office scheduled the procedure, he said his staff was incompetent. No apology, no sympathy. He's a jerk.
