I had a small lipoma removed surgically by Dr. Lesniewski At SSNVA. I did not have a followup appt as they did not ask me to take one. After about 9 days, stitches fell apart and I had an infection. When I called them, they did not have any appts for 2 weeks and their only response was, we will send a prescription for antibiotics ..our doctor is not available so if you want to see a doctor you can go to an emergency. I was distressed with their response. The team is very negligent and arrogant. Most doctors even do a follow up call to check on the patients. A small 1 cm lipoma turned into a 3 cm X 1.5 cm scar. I saw my PCP in the mean time and PCP sent me back to SSNVA as my wound was not healing. I went there reluctantly and during the appt , I was told that they are a little short staffed because one Surgeon has retired. This whole experience is distressing and traumatic. All patients need quality care and a practice that listens to what the patient is dealing with.

This is one of my favorite doctors ever! He is funny and has a great bedside manner. Didn't waste time and knew based on listening to my history that my gallbladder should be removed. The hospital was the best one I've had surgery at too.

Dr. Lesniewski performed my gallbladder removal surgery. Prior to surgery, he explained all options procedures, and potential risks. I felt completely safe in his care and am having a wonderful recovery. He is very kind and compassionate.

I was operated on by Dr. Lesniewski in June after being diagnosed in the ER (while on a business trip) with a twisted intestine. I was concerned about having surgery out of town and by a surgeon I didn't know. Dr. Lesniewski thoroughly explained the need to act quickly, the reason for an open procedure and what I could expect. Post-surgery, he did a great job of communicating what he had found and done. He checked on my multiple times per day and was always warm, respectful and professional.
