Dr. James Kryzanski, MD

I just had my post op visit and was happy to tell Dr. K that my back pain which was a 10 is almost gone and that my weak left leg is getting much stronger. He is a wonderful caring doctor who spends time explaining everything. His NP’s Marianne and Kelly are also great. I can’t say enough about how happy I am to have had Dr. K as my surgeon.

Dr. Kryzanski is patient with many questions and explains things well. As good a surgical experience as I would wish.

The incredible caring & concern by Dr K as well as his NP's Marianne & Kelly is hard to find these days. He is the best & I have been to a few neurosurgeons for consults. Dr K stood head & shoulders above the rest with his bedside manner. He listened to everything I had to say, my concerns were addressed thoroughly. I have now had 7 surgeries with him & all have been successful. I will stay with his practice for as long as he will keep me as a patient. I have referred many family & friends to him & they feel the same way.

The Dr. explains everything directly and clearly. Answers all questions and takes his time with you. Personable and kind. His whole team works together as professionals. They are quick and efficient.

Dr. Kryzanski provided a second opinion for my ACDF surgery, and from the moment I met him, I felt confident in his ability to perform the procedure. He takes the time to thoroughly explain the surgery and patiently answers all your questions, never making you feel rushed. Dr. Kryzanski is not only a compassionate and highly skilled surgeon but also has a down-to-earth demeanor that puts you at ease. MaryAnn and the rest of the staff are incredibly helpful and responsive. I wouldn't hesitate to return if I face any future issues, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed either. After our initial meeting with Dr Kryzanski and his team we instantly felt comfortable that we had made the best decision for my injury.Dr James went over my MRI and gave us all the options.We felt the best route was to operate and we thank god we did!Feel so much better today after 6 weeks.Thank you Dr James and your great team at Tufts!

I have had (2) spinal surgeries with Dr. Kryzanski (2017 & 2024); both of which were extremely successful. He is very caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough. I have had two neurosurgeries with Dr. Krysanski, and both have been successful. One was extremely complicated and I often explain it as, “He put Humpty Dumpty back together again”. He saved me from being a quad on a ventilator.

Dr.K is a compassionate and highly skilled surgeon with a great down to earth demeanor.He performed a C4 disc replacement and fusion and 2 weeks later performed a C4/C5 fusion on my back.I am b pain and numbness free in both areas of surgery.I am well into my back surgery recovery after 4 weeks.I will be ever grateful for Dr. K.

He shared the MRI view on the monitor with me and explained to me what could be the cause of my lower back pain. He showed me the small synovial cyst between L5 and S1, which was not even mentioned in the Tufts radiologist’s MRI report. My surgery was a success and I’m completely pain free.Al I can say he excelles in every aspect that a great physician should be.

I was just operated on 1/10/23. Dr. K was kind, patient, very informative and brilliant. I consider myself lucky to have had such a compassionate surgeon. He really takes the time to explain everything and made me more confident going into the operation. He is the BEST!!!

Dr. Kryzanski did an excellent job on my cervical spine surgery. He went over MRI & clearly explained what was going on with my neck. Dr. Kryzanski took the time to answer any questions, discuss pros & cons, and helped me to understand what to expect after the surgery. I was very anxious right before the surgery and Dr. Kryzanski reassured me that it would be fine, making me feel more comfortable. I have the highest confidence in him and would not hesitate to go back to him if other issues arise with the rest of my spine. I highly recommend him. The staff in the recovery room and on the neurosurgery floor were great as well.

I feel with the Neurosurgery team I feel so comfortable and I don’t just feel like a patient, I feel like their friend that they want to heal.

I have had 3 surgeries (1 cervical 2 lumbar) over the past eight years with Dr Kryzanski. There isn’t ANYONE I would trust other than him. He is conservative with his operative recommendations and gives 100% to his patients
