Worst doctor
During check up Dr Hulburt was rude, conceited, made inappropriate jokes and comments, did not have empathy or the ability to make me feel reassured my health problems where being taken seriously. I left with the promise of a simple test being done later to find out by following up with his office several times that it had not been done. The treatment he prescribed did not help so I ended up visiting a different doctor, it turn out he misdiagnosed me completely, one day after visiting this other doctor my health is getting better. Worst doctor ever

Was told he would take care of important paper work, thinking it was taken care of as told, only to find out 3 months later, paperwork was never done which in term, made my payments 2mths. late.

Horrible bed side manner...aloof and failed to take an interest in helping me; was rude to my family; office staff dismissive and unfriendly

They keepvtheir phone off the hook. They never communicate with each other. My husbsnds blood work hasnt been done in the 6 months we had him. To top that all off the same medicine that insurance is paid all along wont because of the way it was written. So now he doesnt have is medicine and is now fri. Nothing has been done. They have not told us the office moved twice and hasnt returned phone call. So just guess what i would say.

I would recommend Dr. Hurlburt as a family physician. At my appointment he was easy to talk with and genuinely listened to what I was in for. It is nice having a doctor take the time to diagnose the problem.

Dr.Hurlburt was decent, but his office staff and billing practices are dishonest and, in my opinion, could be easily classified as insurance fraud. They will bill for services not performed and require multiple visits for things like simple blood work (i.e. cholesterol check, etc). I reported them to our insurance company's fraud dept and would recommend you choose another physician not associated in any way with Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.
