Very difficult appointment
I saw Dr. Hornsby as my Primary doctor only once, on my initial visit. It was obvious that he is well informed, knowledgeable physician, however is manner was so abrupt, and frankly sarcastic that I felt uncomfortable immediately. He was very upset with me for not having several tests, and I can understand that in general, but berating me was not helpful. He had literally no interest in actually talking with me, but barked many questions about my medication. He seemed annoyed and impatient with me very quickly, and I pretty much kept my mouth shut. To sum up: The only reason I did not walk out in the middle of the appointment, is that I needed to have my medications refilled at some point as I had just moved from another health care group that I loved, but the insurance did not cover enough due to my starting Medicare. Maybe he doesn't like women or he just took an INSTANT dislike to me.

This was the worst doctor visit I’ve experienced. I am considering changing my offices/practice and I’ve been with Wellstar almost 5 years. I will not see Dr. Hornsby unless I have to if I stay with wellstar. He was difficult to talk to, not compassionate or caring, and not good at communicating. He made me feel horrible about myself. I also waited in the waiting room for a good 45 minutes before being called back. Again, during Covid times this all should be run smoother and quicker. And finally, I waited again over 45 minutes for blood to be drawn. My appointment was at 9:15 and I didn’t leave until noon. For a routine physical. This is unacceptable. Overall, horrible experience.

I needed bloodwork done for surgery. He did not explain what he was doing. Gave me papers. Told me to go for labs and x-rays. He told me there was things I needed that were overdue which I knew but didn't want it done. All I needed him to do was enough to get me through surgery until my primary came back. This was the worse experience that I have ever had. He didn't do what I ask. He did what he wanted to do. I was so upset that I was sick for the rest of the day. I will not recommend him nor will I go to him again.

I've been seeing Dr Hornsby for 5 years now and have been very happy with him. I'm a healthy 73 years old and appreciate his attentiveness and thoroughness. He communicates well with me and I feel comfortable that I'm in good hands with him.

I have been seeing Dr. Hornsby for a year, since moving here from out-of-state. I appreciate his knowledge, bedside manner, and he motivates me to take better care of myself. He is very easy to talk to, and answers any questions I may have. He is always very prompt in responding to emails. His nurse is very nice, knowledgeable, and I'm always comfortable and at ease around her. The reception staff have always been very friendly and pleasant. I am very pleased with the care I receive here.

What a quack! He told my husband to take the same antibiotic after he had already had an allergic reaction to it.

All visits have gone well and felt thorough. Dr. Hornsby is someone who appreciates data and encourages guidance as opposed to jumping right into medication unless it's absolutely needed.

First of all, it took me over an hour past my appointment time for this doctor to see me. Second, front desk told me that he was on-net work but I was slapped with out of network billing. Dr. and his staff are refusing to admit their blame and are refusing to change or waive my billing.
