Dr. James Hoffman, MD

I am devastated by the outcome of my rhinoplasty completed by Dr. Hoffman. I look at it every day and wish I would have never stepped into his office. I am now depressed, anxious, and embarrassed to leave my home. I saved up simply to have a disfigured nose.I have attempted several times to contact Dr. Hoffman to discuss my concerns and dissatisfaction. There are no callbacks, and the voicemail states he no longer sees new or existing patients due to a family emergency. I understand and sympathize with needing to tend to a family emergency. Still, the lack of care, compassion, and acknowledgment that one of his patients is suffering this way is beyond my comprehension. I can’t imagine disfiguring a patient that put trust in me and then not responding. I wish he would at least return my call to provide me with some support as his patient. I paid over $10,000 for a crooked nose, bulbous tip one nostril larger than the other, and now a asymmetrical face.

He ruined my perception of plastic surgery. I had three different consults, he was the worst. Made me feel like a number, enforced I wasn't good enough, and- unsafe! He scheduled surgery one week out from a major excision surgery for me where we'd be doing biopsies; but James did my pre-op himself so no other md could tell me that's a bad idea. He ignored the fact I was breastfeeding and shouldn't do surgery, he ignored my meds that would be harmful for the surgery as well. I'd sue him if I had the energy. He is a vile disgusting person and so his wife and staff. Unacceptable.

I had decided to go through Dr. Hoffman as I had been referred by a friend when I had already had an appointment set through another plastic surgeon. I went for my consult and immediately changed my decision right on the spot. Dr. Hoffman is very knowledgeable and explained all the risks and made me feel more comfortable with proceeding with my surgery for breast augmentation. I am currently about 1 and a half week post surgery and I am happy with my results so far. His team is amazing and very quick with answering questions and concerns over the phone or email. I have high anxiety and they were able to make it a calm and smooth procedure and the exercises that Dr. Hoffman has you do most places fail to tell you to do and they make a huge difference in the recovery process. Such a great experience so far and highly recommend him and his team!

Dr. Hoffman did a great job with my blepharoplasty and rhinoplasty. He really listened and made changes based on what I said and showed him. Bring up to 6 photos of features you like to your consultation! I didn’t bring any images to the first visit because I was afraid of looking silly, but he wanted to see and hear about what I was looking for, so he could be sure I got what I wanted. No fancy computer generated morphs in Dr. Hoffman’s office, but I didn’t feel that was a negative. I got one with the doctor who did my first consultation and I didn’t feel like manipulating the screen reflected what the reality would be. Communication is more important. Also, I left meetings with Dr. Hoffman with confidence because he was complementary. The first doctor I saw thought he’d have a better chance getting my business if he made me feel ugly.

I found Dr. Hoffman by researching online. I did extensive research and decided to go with him. Soooo happy I did. The whole procedure has been amazing. , Dr. Hoffman, Nica and Pam are all very nice, experienced and caring. I have referred several people and will continue to do so. I know people who have had breast augmentation elsewhere and were not as happy. Also, I feel with the exercises they have you do is going the extra mile. Completely satisfied and happy with how I look and feel.

WOW, is all I can say. What a great team led by a wonderful surgeon. This was my second surgery with this talented doctor. I had a eye lift several years ago with fantastic results and recently a breast lift and reduction and I could not be happier. The team is small but mighty and it is so refreshing to work with a group of people who all know you and treat you with respect and kindness.

Dr. Hoffman is INCREDIBLE! He listens to what you are looking for and delivers! I had breast augmentation surgery in April and while visiting friends in Tennessee we discussed my procedure. My friend had her surgery 15 years ago by a surgeon in TN. She said she was so unhappy with the size that she had a reduction 5 years later. She said had her doctor taken the time to listen and ask for pictures like Dr. Hoffman does she would have been so much happier and wouldn’t have had to have a reduction to get to the size she originally wanted. Thank you Dr. Hoffman for listening to what I wanted and asking for pictures of what I wanted to look like and not just making the decision for me! I couldn’t be happier!

I saw Dr. Hoffman for a rhinoplasty this past March. I decided to go to Dr. Hoffman after seeking out recommendations for a rhinoplasty in a local facebook group I am a part of. One part of my decision to see him was that I was able to schedule my consultation within a reasonable time to calling his office (other place had a 3+ month wait). When I met with him he was very personably and his nurse shared with me that rhinoplasties are his favorite procedure. I came in once more before my surgery to get my prescriptions and finalized all of the details for my operation. The day of my surgery went smoothly and I was out of the OR in about 4.5 hours. It took me about a full week to not be swollen, and the bruises lasted for about 3 weeks (nothing makeup couldn't cover). The first week was a little challenging, but not super painful. My splint came off about a week later and my whole family (including my dentist mother) was so happy. I have nothing but great praises for Dr. Hoffman!

Dr Hoffman is simply amazing! He makes you feel good on the inside and of course the outside. His staff are very personable and will answer any and all of your questions. The procedures I had completed turned out better than I ever could have thought. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Hoffman!

As a twin cities physician I did a lot of homework when choosing a surgeon to perform my operation. Being a former collegiate football player I had lost considerable weight and was left with loose skin/adipose tissue over my chest and lower abdomen. Dr. Hoffman was the only physician in the twin cities with the type of surgical experience and actual results/testimonials that I was willing to trust for my care. He performed a gynecomastia reduction and mini abdominoplasty along with liposuction contouring. The results were excellent and I could not have been more pleased with the whole perioperative process form initial consultation through the postoperative visits. I would highly recommend Dr. Hoffman to anyone!

I had bilateral breast augmentation replacement and liposuction surgery by Dr. Hoffman. He was recommended to me by another plastic surgeon. I was influenced to choose him because he took a lot of time to listen to me and then to explain what he could realistically provide, backed with current literature references, diagrams, and his impressive portfolio of before and after pictures of previous surgeries. Furthermore, I sensed in him a genuine compassion to do his very best to give me the results I was looking for. As a health care professional myself, I felt I could trust him. My recovery was quick and easy and I am very happy with my results, having lost several clothing sizes. His office staff, Nica and Karen, are just as competent, compassionate and respectful as he is and did an excellent job of answering my questions, scheduling my appointments/surgery, and just generally helping to provide a flawless experience. It felt like coming back to family with all of my office visits.

Dr. Hoffman and his team are absolutely amazing! I have been wanting breast augmentation since high school and finally decided to have the procedure done after having my third child. Dr. Hoffman was able to get me in quickly for my consultant and from that first meeting I knew he was the perfect doctor for me. He instantly made me feel comfortable, spent time to make sure I understood the procedure, his techniques, and what he does to prevent any possible complications. My procedure was in December of 2020, and I could not be happier with my choice. Dr. Hoffman and his team spent extensive time explaining the procedure and recovery, ensured all of my questions were answered, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Not to mention, I love my results! I am so glad I chose Dr. Hoffman, and I recommend him to all!
