Had double knee replacement surgery back in September (2024) and I couldn't be happier with the results. I was walking without a walker after a 1 and without a cane after 2 weeks. I was completely pain free after about 3-4 weeks. The clock says I'm 61 but my knees feel like I'm 25 LOL! I highly recommend Dr. Hill.

Dr Hill did my knee surgery I wish I would have done it years ago. Surgery was a breeze Dr. Hill was informative, compassionate, and really took his time to explain everything to me.

Dr. Hill repaired a torn tendon in my rotor cuff and removed bone spurs. Everything about the surgery and my recovery went as smoothly and quickly as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Hill at IBJI.

I saw Dr. Hill for an issue with my right shoulder; I was in constant pain and had extremely poor ROM. I found Dr. Hill listened very carefully to what I was saying, gave me several options, and thoroughly explained. Not wanting to go through with surgery I elected to try receiving a cortisone with no relief. Again discussing the situation it was decided that a total shoulder replacement was my best option. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. No pain and excellent ROM were the outcomes I had hoped for. Following post-op guidelines including PT I am sorry I waited too long to seek relief. I could not recommend Dr. Hill any higher, in my opinion, he is everything a good doctor and excellent surgeon should be.

The doctor fully explained the procedure, recovery and therapy. I followed his instructions and recovered quickly and without pain. I strongly recommend Dr. Hill!

After wasting a lot money and a year of my life on PRP shoulder therapy, multiple cortisone injections and laser therapy with no results, during annual physical my doctor referred me to Dr. Hill. What a difference!!!!! After visiting with him he quickly and professionally diagnosed the issue. We moved forward with complete shoulder replacement. All things leading up to, during and after the surgery was at the highest level of a 'patient first concern and approach'. Him and his staff were simply outstanding. 4 weeks after surgery and regular therapy, I was given the clearance to play golf. Here it is 6 months later and my shoulder movement is back to were it was when I was in my 30's not to mention pain free and getting ready to water ski again. I wish I would have known about him 18 months ago. I highly recommend Dr. Hill......

Now six months after total anatomic shoulder joint replacement surgery by Dr. Hill and three months of PT, I am pain free and have excellent mobility of my shoulder. I am so glad I had the surgery. Dr Hill patiently addressed all of my questions throughout the pre and post surgery visits.

I went with Dr. Hill because of his reputation as an orthopedic surgeon. And am I ever Happy I did. I had a 100% full thickness rotator cuff tear. I had decent range of motion but it was painful. Had surgery March 2023 and Dr Hill told me I will be golfing by June 2023. Three months after surgery I am playing golf, playing catch and swimming regularly. Dr Hill was true to his word and I could not be happier with the surgery results. I would highly recommend Dr James Hill for ortho issues.

Dr Hill took all the necessary steps in diagnosing my knee condition. He explained the results of the x-rays and MRI readings and determined my next course of action. He provided me with both pre-op and post-op instructions that I followed. The arthroscopy surgery went exactly as discussed. Dr Hill met with me prior and after the surgery to answer all of my questions. The staff at his office and at the NCH Day Surgery Center were extremely professional and made sure I understood what to expect. I returned for scheduled visits with Dr Hill as he monitored my healing progress after surgery.

I had a 4 part shoulder break out of state resulting in 14 screws and a plate at the age of 29. My shoulder ached for obvious reasons for about a year and a half after our relocation to Illinois. My father in-law had his shoulder replaced by Dr. Hill and recommended I console him. Dr. Hill confirmed I had avascular necrosis in the head of my shoulder and recommended a shoulder replacement utilizing a short stem device and refacing the socket. I had massive amounts of scar tissue from the initial injury/surgery prior to Dr. Hills' engagement and he explained everything clearly before and after surgery including a clear path to success through physical therapy. Dr. Hill and his team did an excellent job and I am very happy with the results. I can resume normal day to day functions with no pain. Thank you Dr. Hill!

Dr. James Hill is wonderful. From my first visit to my last, he took the time to explain what needed to be done, he was professional, pleasant and is a terrific surgeon. I had absolutely no issues durning and after surgery. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Hill. There is a good chance I need my other shoulder repaired and Dr. Hill is the one!

Dr Hill is an excellent Dr who did my left shoulder replacement in March of 2022. I felt very confident in his abilities. Dr Hill called me the day after my surgery to see how I was doing. He schedules regular follow up appointments to check on patient progress. He always showed interest and care in asking how my PT was going and told me which exercises were the best to master. He answered all of my questions. I had no problems recovering and am so happy to be totally pain free with a great range of motion. I can tell you if you want a good shoulder replacement Dr. see Dr Hill.

Dr. Hill performed a repair of a complete tear of my rotator cuff and a Mumford procedure on my right shoulder. He did an excellent job. He was very professional in every aspect, very easy to talk to and took time to answer all my question's. He was very patient and I never felt rushed. He made sure I clearly understood how the procedure would go and all the instructions I needed to know. He made sure I was pain free throughout. Appointments were easy to make and were mostly on time. Staff was very accommodating. If I ever need another ortho procedure, I would definitly choose Dr. Hill without hesitation. I would highly recommend him.

I had a wide full tear of my rotator cuff and was told by the first Dr I saw it was too wide to fix. I went for a second opinion with Dr. Hill and he said let's do this! He got me scheduled right away and the surgery along with aftercare and PT went great. I finished PT a month ahead of schedule. I will recommend Dr. Hill to everyone. Great Care! Bob A. Dr. James Hill was a godsend who genuinely cares about his patients. He did a shoulder "Reverse Replacement" that will let me play golf again. Rehab was amazing and his surgical skills were impeccable. To have a doctor with his experience is rare.

I was referred to Dr. Hill late last fall by my primary physician. On December 1st of 2021 Dr. Hill repaired my rotator cuff. Dr. Hill is easy to talk to and was very patient in answering all my questions. Five months later, I am back swinging a golf club and my shoulder feels GREAT!!!! He is highly skilled and I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Hill! Should I ever need surgery on my other shoulder, Dr. Hill is my doctor!!!!!

It took time to decide on having surgery because of my age (79) and health history (MS). I was always in pain and very restricted in my daily abilities. I did decide to have Dr. Hill do the surgery and am extremely pleased with the results.

Dr. Hill and his staff are personable and professional. Very difficult Rotator cuff surgery performed excellently with scope and avoided opening me up with his expertise. Very short wait times for follow ups are a big plus. Highly recommend.

Dr. Hill did my total left shoulder replacement on April 23, 2021 at Northwest Community Hospital. I have been a patient of Dr. Hill's since 2017. I have found him to be very honest, empathetic and caring. I couldn't be happier with my new shoulder. Because of his excellent surgical skill, I am able to enjoy things now that I had not been able to do for quite some time. I'd highly recommend him to anyone needing joint replacement surgery.
