Dr. James Germano, MD

I saw Doctor Germano in January of 2024. I came in due to swelling and pain in my right knee. He ordered X-rays, which showed nothing remarkable. He aspirated my knee and gave me a cortisone injection. The day after my visit, I got a call from the practice wanting to schedule physical therapy. I declined, telling them I didn't have a definitive diagnosis yet, and did want to risk further damage. The swelling never went away and the pain returned a week later. I sought a second opinion, from another doctor, who immediately suspected a torn meniscus. He scheduled an MRI which confirmed his diagnosis. My meniscus was severely torn! Not only was Dr. Germano's diagnosis vague, but had I gone for physical therapy, I would have done more damage. Sadly, I can't recommend him.

Dr Germano is a great doctor. I wen to see him today for osteoarthritis on my left knee. He suggested physical therapy and an anti inflammatory medication. He explained everything very well. Told me to follow up in 6 weeks to see how I am doing.

Not only is Dr. Germano a brilliant surgeon, he has THE BEST bedside manner I have ever encountered. He did my total hip revision which was a very intense surgery. He and his entire staff made me feel comfortable and kept me thinking positively. He is truly a blessing.

Dr. Germano is a blessing … he completed my left total knee replacement on 1/18/2023 and as of today 2/1/2023 I have a 96 degree bending range. I had a right total knee replacement in 2/2016 and just recently got to 95 degree of bending .Dr.Germano is a fantastic Surgeon he explained everything that would be done told me I would be up and walking in 4 hours after surgery ( I thought he was crazy considering it took almost 3 days after my last surgery not with him) sure enough I was up and walking just like he said. He keep my family up to date with my recovery in the hospital along with his staff and the hospital . I highly recommend Dr.Germano to anyone that is suffering from knee pain . I look forward for him to correct my right knee replacement . Thank You Dr Germano for everything I’m so grateful for your support & help with my knee.

I had surgery total knee replacement in 2010 left knee and 2011 right knee. Dr. Germano did not do the surgery on my right knee left me in the hands of his then Interns and the pain pump was knocked off the catheter that was in my leg, so for three months, I walked around with the catheter still in my leg. No other orthopedist would touch me. I suffer more now than I did before the surgery. I wish I could put a picture of my leg up here the swelling from the hip down to my toes, and, sometimes I can't lift my leg it's like it was when I first had surgery. This is 10 years later and I am still suffering. MJustice

Whatever skill this man may have as a surgeon is entirely negated by the incompetent uncaring and incapable people he has chosen to work under him and the awful hospital he uses. After 2 months of nightmares on the telephone my poor wife was unable to get the surgery she needed and is still in great pain and Dr. Germano could not care less...he never inquired about her condition after he had his staff schedule surgery that was never done. Awful horrible experience. Beware.

Has you wait a minimum of one hour than gets you out in ten minutes. Just looking to churn patients for insurance billing with minimal actual care for patient. Gets annoyed when you start asking too many questions.

I had my left knee replaced roboticly on Dec 2 2020 by Dr Germano. Im having a great outcome so far and range of motion is already better Than my other knee which was replaced 6 years ago. Very satisfied with him and all his staff. Highly recommend him??

Dr. Germano is simply the best. He and his PA Scott are amazing. Friendly, compassionate, dedicated to my health concerns and improving my quality of life. He replaced my right knee on August 6th 202 and my life is improved dramatically. just 10 weeks later. A true professional that cured my pain. I could not have asked for better treatment and am eternally grateful.

I had Dr Germano replace both my Hips. He is an OUTSTANDING DOCTOR!! Your up and about in no time. If I didn't have RA the swelling is what delayed me a little but recovery was good. I would definitely recommend him for your surgery !!!

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Germano, his PA Scott and his staff. I had a hip replacement Nov 1st and was driving in 10 days. He’s very compassionate and thorough when explaining everything. I highly recommend Dr. Germano!

He replaced my hip and total knee replacement. Excellent care.

He was recommended by a friend told me he was great and he was right. Dr. Germano has helped me with my bad knees for awhile I had a Workers comp. they held up my surgery for a year but with the Doctors help I got through it and now the first of my knees has just been replaced. I was in the hospital for one day and had the first PT at home two weeks so far now out Patient is next. Dr. Germano and his staff helped me and reassured me of what was to come and that helped a lot. now just one to go.

He is very serious about his profession. Genuinely cares for his patients. Smart, right to the point, always welcoming with a smile. He operated on me. I had two knee replacements. I'm 42. He did an excellent job no infections barely a scar. Looking forward to seeing him for my last follow up.

Dr. Hermano did my revision surgery which was a hip replacement. I had a hip fracture which was treated by an emergency surgeon with screws which did not hold. He is friendly , very competent and very caring. You may have to wait but that is because he gives you the time you need. If you are going to a doctor's office, bring your e reader or a book and try not to complain about the wait. Doctors need to document their records and the patients need patience also.

AFTER DECADES OF BEING ACTIVE IN SPORTS, MY KNEE'S FINALLY LOST THE BATTLE WITH FATHER TIME. I MET WITH DR. GERMANO WHO AFTER READING MY X-RAYS SAID THAT ALTHOUGH MY KNEE'S WHERE NOT IN GREAT SHAPE IT WAS MY HIP'S THAT WHERE CAUSING THE CRIPPLING PAIN. ON DECEMBER 15TH 2015 I HAD MY RIGHT HIP REPLACED. ON DECEMBER 16TH I WAS HOME AND PAIN FREE ON MY RIGHT SIDE. IT SEAMED LIKE A MIRACLE . NOW ON TO THE LEFT HIP. WHO KNOWS MAYBE NEXT SPRING I'LL TRY OUT FOR THE JETS...IM ONLY 62 !
