Irritated and yelling person
My wife consulted this doctor for a hip problem. During the consultation, the doctor injected her with lidocaine and cortisol without using ultrasound guidance. Instead, he inserted the needle and then took an X-ray afterward to verify the placement (ex post facto). Unfortunately, something went wrong, which worsened her condition and increased her pain. I tried to contact him for the next week to seek guidance. After 10 days, he finally answered my call, but he was very irritated and started yelling at me. When I asked him to calm down and lower his voice, he warned me that he wouldn’t say anything more and then hung up the call. I don’t know if he was having a bad day, but that’s no excuse to treat patients—or anyone—like that.

Pragmatic, professional and smart
Dr Gasho's experience and drive for results is clear. He aligns immediately with the patient's goals and tries varied approaches to achieve success. I appreciate how flexible he and his staff are with appointments and ad hoc asks like sharing files. I have recommended Dr Gasho to friends and colleagues who have all been very please with his savoir faire and no-nonsense approach.

Great Experience
Hop replacement surgery for my mother, a 92-year old very recent stroke victim. The situation was uniquely complex. Dr. Gasho was very up front about the prognosis, risks involved, etc. He also conducted a patient evaluation just prior to the scheduled procedure to ensure the surgery was the best path forward; then posted up on Sunday morning to personally check in on her. Throughout the entire process, the family always felt that we were in confident hands. Couldn't be more pleased with our experience. If I ever find myself in need of ortho reconstruction, there's no doubt who I would reach out to.

Disappointing. After an accidental fall, I fractured my wrist. Dr. Gasho was on call in the ER of Suburban Hospital. I thought he was in network with Johns Hopkins but he is not. This was not explained to me up front, either, requiring a special exception for further treatment. While my wrist may be repaired, nearly 4 months later and 20 sessions of therapy, my frozen hand is deformed and struggling to recover. He and his staff are rude and unaccommodating. He may be a good surgeon but he lacks the personality required for assurance. I have lost confidence and am in the process of obtaining a second opinion.

This doctor did my grandmothers surgery during the Covid crisis. I had concerns about how to best handle the follow up visit so I called the office a few times and asked that he call back. He was immediately irritated when we got on the phone and proceeded to yell and berate me. When I asked him to stop yelling at me he said "no because you're being an idiot" and hung up on me. Given everything thats going on this is beyond disgusting.

Dr. Gasho repaired both my shoulders, my husband's elbow and knee, and has treated both my daughters for ankle/leg injuries - felt like we had him on retainer for awhile. He's calm, listens to complaints, excellent diagnostician, explains everything, answers all questions and none seem too trivial. I've noticed that all the patients I encounter in his office receive the same treatment as I do - a friendly caring hello, handshake, etc. I also asked a couple of nurse friends about him and they all praise his abilities and treatment of both patients and the other staff at the hospital.

Dr. Gasho treated my elderly mother for two broken wrists (separate breaks due to falls within three months of each other)- he came to Suburban hospital in the evenings and weekends. Dr. Gasho is kind, caring, efficient and obviously an expert in his field.
