31 years of experience and yet ...
During an annual exam my daughters doctor found a lump in her breast. He ordered a mammogram and ultrasound. The ultrasound techs were awesome. But then Dr. Fuller came into the room as the head radiologist and had the audacity to reprimand my daughter for wasting everyone's time by having a mammogram. He then yelled at the techs for even scheduling the appointment for her. His reasoning? A 23 year old doesn't get breast cancer and there is no reason why she should have had that appointment, breast lump or no. Those are his words, not mine or my daughters. She came home in tears because of this man. We have a family history of breast cancer and the fact that this "doctor" would dismiss her like this, disregard her doctors concern and make such a stupid statement is appalling. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence and compassion would know that if there is history and lumps are found you check those lumps and you don't make the patient feel like a burden and waste of time.
