We would definitely recommend Dr. Franciosi!!
In 2019, 2 of my 3 children were diagnosed with Crohn's disease. To say this was overwhelming would be a gross understatement. It was Dr. Franciosi and his team at Nemours Childrens Hospital that helped our family navigate this unfair diagnosis. Dr. Franciosi and the entire GI team were caring, kind and extremely patient with all of our questions. Dr. Franciosi was good at including the children in conversations involving their treatment and medications. It was a long road but, today, both of my children are currently in remission. Our family owes a huge debt of gratitude to the entire Nemours GI team but especially Dr. Franciosi.

Wonderful physician!
Dr. Franciosi has been absolutely wonderful with our daughter. She is a complicated case and he always takes time to listen to us, to take into account how treatments will affect her quality of life and he truly cares! That is so hard to find in Healthcare today. My daughter has seen so many doctors and has serious anxiety about going to the hospital or doctor's office and Dr. Franciosi and his staff at Nemours immediately put her at ease. She may not be thrilled with the idea of going but once we get there she is all smiles and will even say she loves her doctor. Having a child with chronic illness is never fun, but after seeing many different doctor's we have finally found peace and hope with Dr. Franciosi and his team's care and treatment plans for our daughter! I feel like for the first time he is partnering with us to come up with the best options for her and letting us, her parents, be involved in the decision making process. We highly recommend him and his staff!

Great doctor
We had been seeing another GI doctor with Nemours and was referred to Dr. Franciosi to see about doing a nasal scope in hopes if it went well we could do these from there on out as it is so much easier and better on kids. He immediately reached out to me with my concerns and had a few discussions on if we thought it would be good for my son or not. After deciding to give it a try he continued to wow me by even moving up the scope procedure for us and even day before called himself to have us come in sooner because of a cancelation and to make sure we were still good to go. He was very friendly and explained everything to me and the procedure went awesome! Himself and his staff made my son feel so comfortable and calm and I was so impressed! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

THE BEST!
My two boys have been under the care of Dr. Franciosi for 12 years for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of EOE. He is kind, empathetic, and thoughtful. We are so thankful for all of the knowledge, cutting edge treatment, and care he has brought to Nemours. Dr. Franciosi looks at the whole child when working with the family to make the best health care decisions possible. He is thoughtful about helping kids be kids while navigating life with chronic illness. He listens to the child, and the parent a skill that we value very much. Dr. Franciosi also collaborates with other Dr.'s and clinicians from different specialities to address all aspects of health, and illness to provide the best care possible. My son wants to study medicine in college, because of the excellent care he has received from Dr. Franciosi.

We met Dr. Franciosi when my son was very ill with an initial presentation of IBD. He took him for diagnostic colonoscopy, which at the time was a high risk procedure given how sick he was, and promptly gave us a diagnosis and started the right treatment. This was without doubt the scariest time in my life, and it was so reassuring to have a physician that could answer all our questions, recommend the latest scientific evidence based treatment and just give the comfort and hope so needed at the time. He did all of this competently, while keeping a good sense of humor that was able to normalize our situation and engage my teenager in the healing process. He has supported my kid in his endeavors outside of clinic, like making plans in case there is a flare-up while traveling, or accommodating his busy school calendar when scheduling appointments. We are very lucky to have him, and we hope when it’s time for my son to move on to an adult GI doctor, that they would be just as good!

Exceptional care.
My sons diagnosis came as a complete shock to all of us. He was extremely sick. His remission is due to the exceptional expertise, care and support. He treated my son with respect, humor and compassion. Every question is answered and every concern addressed. My gratitude will forever exist to him for helping my son to heal and learn how to manage his diagnosis.

Dr. James Franciosi from Nemours Children's Health has cared for my daughter's IBD for seven years and counting. Since day one, Dr. Franciosi has been friendly and compassionate and has cared for my daughter as if she was his own. He never rushes us at a clinic and is always ready to listen to my long list of questions. He patiently answers our questions until my daughter and I understand and feel comfortable. We traveled overseas, and my daughter had a flare; Dr. Franciosi called me directly, guided me carefully, and provided the reassurance I needed to care for my daughter until we returned. That phone call meant so much to me. Dr. Franciosi always makes my daughter feel comfortable and safe under his care. We are grateful to have him as our daughter's gastroenterologist. She is doing very well and thriving because of him; we are thankful to have found Dr. Franciosi and Nemours to care for our daughter's complex medical needs.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Please avoid taking your babies to this guy. He is the worst doctor I have ever seen. Horrible bed side manner, does not explain anything. Acts very entitled. I have never made a complaint against a doctor before seeing this complete idiot. After informing Nemours of the terrible visit, James called me and told me he was NOT sorry. I want others to avoid the experience I had. Do not take your children to this doctor! I am not sure how he is a pediatric doctor to be honest with his trash attitude.

He is perhaps the worst doctor out there. He treated my daughter and was the most arrogant, condescending, and unprofessional person I have ever encountered. He ordered countless unnecessary procedures that actually harmed a three year old and refused to give us test results even when asked. Worst of all he tries to bully and intimidate patients with threats of contacting DCF. Avoid this doctor at all costs.
