made a joke about my pain, and didn't even know it
As reported here, zero 'bedside manner'. I asked him if he would examine my shoulder by moving it around. I showed him what movement caused pain and his response - no joke - was 'Then don't do that'. He had no idea it was a 70 year old vaudville joke. He showed no concern whatsoever. Seems to have a touch of the 'tism.

Excellent Care
I was very impressed with the time Dr. Foley took with me regarding my injury. Many doctors are in and out in just a few minutes. Everything was explained to me clearly and all my questions were answered. I especially like that all visits - including surgery - are in one location. Everything went very well and I'm happy with the results. I will definitely use Dr. Foley for any future medical needs. All the staff at OAW are very nice and helpful, including Laurie, his assistant.

Dr Foley was very thorough during my initial exam and subsequent surgeries. Dr Foley and his team helped me relax during the actual procedure, checking in with me several times. Recovery was pain free and quick. My hands feel great and I would recommend Dr Foley and his team for anyone that needs a hand surgery!

Dr. Foley performed surgery on my left hand which was very compromised by advanced Dupuytren’s contracture. I hadn’t been able to fully utilize my dominant hand for quite some time, and the deformity was causing more and more issues. Dr. Foley explained to me my options when I met with him, answered my questions, and when I finally scheduled my surgery, he did an amazing job of giving me back my full use of my hand. I had four fingers and my palm that were compromised. His painstaking work brought about full use of the fingers and removed evidence of the disease from my palm also. I am very grateful for his expertise, professionalism, and knowledge regarding this disease. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs any kind of hand surgery.

I visited Dr. Foley several times to diagnose shoulder problems and eventually had him perform rotator cuff surgery. He was honest with his assessment in every visit even when I did not want to hear the news of my condition. I had him perform the surgery (extensive) and am very glad that I did, he had to repair extensive tears in the tendons and I am no longer in constant pain. He was thorough with explaining the results after the surgery and was personally invested in my recovery when I did meet with him during the follow up visits. I took his advice seriously and my recovery time was within the timeline he had given me. I do recommend Dr. Foley and will use him again for the other shoulder.

Dr. Foley was great about meeting ahead of time about my carpal tunnel. He was reasonable about the options and didn't try to push me into anything I didn't need. Surgery was outstanding. He told me what to expect immediately afterward, and in the weeks/months following surgery. I'm typing this right now thanks to his work! :)

Would never recommend. Lacking in bedside manner or any kind of caring disposition. Manipulated sensitive joints without saying what he was going to do first or explaining during. It also seems he may have interest in drumming up business for physical therapy as PT was recommended despite no diagnosis being given, much less a diagnosis warranting PT.

It's like clown school. People think public healthcare would lower quality and the handling of patients? It could not be worse than this.

Dr. Foley took great care of me. He was thorough, kind and to the point. He worked quickly and efficiently and had a great bed side manner. He spoke to like a person, not just a patient and answered my questions. Highly recommend.

Dr. Foley performed carpal tunnel surgery on my right arm 9 months ago and was a total success .During surgery he discovered an anomalous tendon and repaired that at the same time.I no longer have any discomfort that I had for years before the surgery. I am very pleased with Dr Foley and highly recommend him.It was an easy and painless process and recovery was smooth without any negative issues at all.

Dr. Foley fixed my trigger thumb. First, he tried a cortisone shot that worked well, but only lasted two months, so then he scheduled surgery, and within two weeks of surgery, my trigger thumb was fixed!

I broke my right humorous and into my shoulder. I thought he did a great job of repairing my arm/shoulder. He said there would be no pain after the surgery and he was right! I had the surgery done at Orthopaedic Associates and everyone there was wonderful. It was a very safe and caring facility! I would recommend Dr. Foley.
