Dr. James Ferrari, MD

I had to cancel my shoulder surgery because of a stroke. Today I went to discuss how soon they could reschedule. His PA is a delight. Explaining what I needed to do and fully answering questions. Dr. Ferrari came in at the end of my visit to make sure I was happy with my visit. YES! Kind, caring, and so knowledgeable.

Dr. Ferrari explained everything in MRI well so I could understand nice friendly DR.

His wait time surpasses any other. Five minutes, at most. He respects a patient's time. Dr Ferrari has a kind and caring mannerism and genuinely cares about his patients. He actively listens to patient's concerns, is conscientious and extremely passionate about his expertise, explains things in such a way that his patients will understand everything he has to say rather than using medical terminology that leaves you confused. Dr Ferrari never makes you feel rushed and spends as much time as is necessary to diagnose your injury. Dr Ferrari and his PA, Melinda, compliment one another which makes you comfortable seeing either one of them. You usually are fortunate to get to meet with both of them. They are the best 'team' of doctors I've ever gone to for a concern. Unfortunately, I've had the opportunity to see several orthopedic doctors for their different specialties over the years, and hands down Dr Ferrari's professionalism and bedside manner surpasses all others.

Right on time, in and out in 30 minutes. Everything was explained while viewing the x-rays and all my questions were answered.

Has always listened to my concerns and addressed them. Has performed 3 operations for me with success.

Dr Farrari did rotator cuff surgery to my right shoulder this last May. He was excellent. He is always very personal and professional. He will tell you exactly what to expect. I recommend him to anyone needing this surgery.

I do not recommend Dr. Ferrari. I visited him the day after I injured my knee as I wanted to get treatment as soon as possible. His assistant, who came in to see me first, handled my leg without any attempt to accommodate my pain, and was in fact quite rude about the fact that I was unable to relax enough for her to handle it. I was then ordered for an MRI, and on my second visit, Dr. Ferrari very briefly explained my injury and gave little instruction on next steps besides that I could wait around 6 weeks for surgery. I felt as if I did not have enough information to proceed and so consulted another doctor for a second opinion where I was informed that I had a completely different injury than what Dr. Ferrari told me. I was told I should’ve had surgery immediately after the injury and that the delay would create significant complications in my recovery. Though it seems my experience differs from most, I would highly recommend visiting a different doctor for more thorough care.

I have seen Dr. Ferrari for shoulder issues and left knee issues over several years. The most current visit was for severe pain in my right knee. I appreciate the Parker office getting me in in a timely manner. Dr. Ferrari and his excellent PA, Melinda, diagnosed the issue after viewing my x-rays. I was told what I might expect in the future, regarding the prognosis, but they helped relieve the terrible pain in my right knee, and that is very much appreciated..

He is not only an excellent orthopedic surgeon, but also a patient and kind physician. I am a retired RN and he has a great reputation with the people who work with him on the OR. And he was recommended to me by another orthopedic surgeon!

Dr Ferrari and Alison Pollock, his PAC, are a phenomenal team. I feel that I am 100% in the right very capable hands.It was so good to be treated like someone who understands what they are saying. They gave me a detailed analysis of my situation, and the future steps. Dr. Ferrari is hands-on and was the person who administered my hydrocortisone injection, which was done to perfection. I was a little nervous as many people have complained to me about their own experiences elsewhere in the country. I had nothing to worry about. The office environment is happy, friendly and relaxed. This does not diminish the level of professionalism with which all patients are treated.I cannot recommend them more highly.Thank you.

Dr Ferrari performed a reverse shoulder replacement on my left shoulder in November of 2023. Everything about this experience, from the pre op, the surgery and post op care was outstanding. I’ll need to have this procedure done on my right shoulder within the next year or so and knowing Dr Ferrari will be performing it gives me a great sense of comfort. Thanks to Dr Ferrari and his wonderful staff for this amazing outcome!

Dr Ferrari did a great job explaining the results of my mri and recommended arthroscopic surgery. He did a successful surgery on my other knee and I feel confident this one will go well too.

When I came into the lobby, I noticed a pretty long line to check in. It went surprisingly fast. I had already done my pre-check work online which was also very convenient and took less than 5 minutes. By the time I got to my seat in the waiting room, Allison, Dr. Ferrari’s nurse, called my name out and took me back to the exam room. Within a minute (I swear) Beverly, the XRay tech came and took me for X-rays. It took no more that 4 minutes. Back to the exam room, Dr Ferrari was waiting for me. He spent about 20 minutes with me discussing in great detail what my problem is. (My version of his diagnosis, it sucks getting old). So the bottom line is that OCC knows exactly what works best for their customers both in terms of the ‘customer experience’ and their medical treatment. They are also adept with their web enabled integration to my insurance carrier and the communication with their patients. By far, this was the best experience at a medical appointment ever.

Dr. Ferrari treated my frozen shoulder in 2006 and I avoided surgery and made a full recovery. He was so good I came back 17 years later to have him treat my other shoulder. He is knowledgeable, direct; efficient and results driven. Great explanation and treatment plan. I fully endorse him.
