Wonderful doctor, terrible system
I was referred to Dr Farmer after a raving recommendation from my family doctor. Dr Farmer is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. However, from that office I was set up for a procedure at Lewis Gayle. After a reschedule due to confusion between the hospital and Ignite, I was finally seen for my injection. While at the procedure appointment I was still scheduled for the wrong procedure in which I had to advocate was not the correct procedure. Whether this was an error on the hospital or Ignite office, the wrong procedure code was sent from Dr Farmers office at some point. I have now been dealing with the aftermath of this error since the beginning of march. The way this has been handled and pointing blame has completely ruined my trust in their office. I have cancelled further appointments. I highly suggest if you use this office, to double check everything that is done for your own safety physically and financially.

Good doctor, but beware, it's now about the money!
I had an excellent hip surgery with Dr. Farmer, and he was good with follow-up,; however, he moved offices, and dropped MANY of his patients when going private. There was no plan for follow-up after surgery, or referral to a new doctor. Just a call from a secretary saying, "too bad, we're done with you." Very disappointed, and quite unprofessional.

New Patient
So very pleased with the entire Process from Check In to Discharge! As a new patient I am very fortunate to have had an Appointment with Dr. James Farmer! Dr. Farmer was Professional as well as very personal, I felt I had a thorough exam which included x-rays it was so refreshing to meet the Doctor face to face without a computer or I-Pad iIt was apparent he had reviewed the x-rays as well as my paper work I look forward to seeing Dr Farmer again in the future as needed! I start my Therapy on Monday May 2. Please know I sincerely appreciate the excellent care I received yesterday! Thank You!

Dr. Farmer is compassionate, thorough, and knowledgeable. He listens to the patient without the "one size fits all" approach to orthopedics.
