The single worst experience I have ever had with a physician in my nearly 70 years on the planet. I was referred to the Cardiovascular group at UCH by my PCP, who is himself an excellent physician. The first thing Dr. Falko did when he came in the room was to put his face two inches from mine and get as physically close to me as possible without touching me. Then he stayed there for an extended period of time, creating an awkward, unsettling and uncomfortable situation. I came to this Dr. looking for help with continuing on PCSK9 inhibitors. However, we never got to that discussion because Dr. Falko decided to lambaste me over my misgivings about statins, which I tried twice and experienced side-effects. This didn't matter at all to Dr. Falko, who then treated me to a withering 45 minute statin infomercial in a pedantic, condescending, and insulting manner while cutting me off and dismissing me at every turn. Mercifully, it finally ended and I never have to see this guy again.

I felt he was condescending and that he did not understand my concerns and did not communicate well. In addition, he got two feet away and took off his mask and continued the consult without it. I was definitely not comfortable and did not feel that this was a physician I could work with.

I was referred to Dr. Falko. My diabetes had been out of control for years and my former doctors in another state couldn't find the mix of meds. When I moved to CO and went to him he went the extra mile to do the tests to start on a better path. For the last 5 years my numbers have been the best in my life and feel the best I have in years. He has also treated my thyroid and has done a wonderful job. Excellent doctor.

Discovering Dr. Falko was like finding a treasure. He is experienced, and has a wonderful attitude making you feel immediately at ease. He changed my medication for treatment of diabetes, and I had good results right away. Also was able to lose 40 pounds which helped my glucose readings. Highly recommend this Doctor!

After being a patient of Dr. Falko and having thyroid issues, in my opinion he IS NOT willing to try new medications or ideas which could better ones health. *He is also unwilling to refer patients to other care providers which is NOT putting the patients health concerns first. If you have weight gain issues with the thyroid condition, he will tell you to count calories rather than switch medications or try something new!

I was referred to Dr. Falko by an outstanding doctor in the Anschutz system. I had been on thyroid medication for a low thyroid and it did nothing. Dr. Falko did not digest what I was trying to tell him. He put me back on the same medication. He also felt it necessary during the exam to grab my "little spare tire" THREE TIMES. Told me the medications would get rid of it. I was mortified!!!

Dr. Falko was running behind, but he apologized upon entering the room & took to reviewing my records immediately. After he felt he understood my concerns, he also asked me to be certain we were on the same page. We talked through my concerns, and he answered my questions. He was very relatable, patient, easy to communicate with & made me feel very comfortable; even advising me as if I were his family saying, "...if you were my daughter this is what I'd recommend". Great doc! Highly recommend.
