Dr. James Ding, DO

I chose Northeast Atlanta ENT in Dacula to evaluate me for sleep apnea. I was given a home sleep study to complete, and I was told I needed to get at least five hours of sleep for the test to be valid. If I didn't get five hours of sleep, the office staff told me I could do a free retest. Well, I only got 3.5 hours of sleep after lying awake for a really long time. But they said based on the test results that I got 6 hours of sleep, which is simply not true. They believed the test 'results' over their patient's word. I was told I don't have apnea and was offered no free retest, despite my repeated explanations that the test inaccurately indicated more sleep than I actually got, which skews the results. After paying more than $800 out of pocket after my insurance plan paid their small portion, I walked away with NOTHING but frustration and zero clarity on whether I actually have apnea or not. Oh, I can get a retest, they told me, but they'd have to charge me again. No thanks!

I’m very disappointed with the service my wife received from Dr. James R. Ding at Northeast Atlanta ENT. She went in with concerns about breathing and severe allergies, seeking guidance. Instead, Dr. Ding offered only three vague options, including a “procedure” he barely described. When she asked reasonable questions, he became irritated and dismissive, giving rushed, short answers. He even ended the appointment by telling her to “go home and do some research online” for more information. For a $300 consultation, this was unacceptable and unprofessional. It was clear he was more focused on finishing up for the day than on providing quality care, especially with her appointment scheduled just before closing time. I was considering seeing Dr. Ding for a deviated septum consultation, but after this experience, I’ll definitely be going elsewhere. If you’re looking for a compassionate doctor who listens, answers questions thoroughly, and respects patients, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
