Your phone number doesn't work
I cannot reach my physician during normal business hours because their phone rings twice and then it goes silent, you cannot even leave a message. I therefore have to cancel an important medical appointment because of this.

Dr Davenport is most likely a very good doctor b…
This physician has the absolute worst office staff I have EVER dealt with. They do not return calls. Half of the time they don’t even answer the phone. They accused me of canceling an appointment when I had not done so. The MA accused me of lying about canceling a scheduled scan appointment when the facility had cancelled the appointment twice. Just a nightmare to deal with.

JUST DON’T SEE HIM. SIMPLE AS THAT!
My mother seen Davenport a week ago.. He was supposed to call in medicine for her. I called them same day as appointment because medicine was still not called into pharmacy and office stated he calls all medicine in at end of day. Well I have followed up everyday and they keep giving me a run around. Excuses are “we sent him a message” or “his dad had an emergency”. Now today medicine still isn’t called in and they are saying he is on vacation. I asked if they could look in chart and see what the medicine is called to see if her primary care doctor will call it in and they said they don’t keep that in her record.

My daughter had major GI complications resulting from Covid. The first two visits with Dr. Davenport were ok at best. The office staff did not file insurance paperwork in a timely fashion, so her procedure was postponed for a week. When we did show up the following week at the surgery center, she was not even on the schedule for the day then, either. After giving the surgery center all of the info that should’ve been sent from his office and a lengthy wait, she was finally seen. After he results were in, she was supposed to be scheduled for a follow up to “tweak medications.” My daughter has called and left two messages with no call back. It’s been over a month with still no call back. She is still experiencing bad symptoms and can’t even get a return call for a medication refill. Nice guy, but no professionalism. His office staff is equally disappointing.

Absolute worst experience. This Dr. was more concerned about how awful my insurance was than actually taking care of his patient. He complained about my insurance not paying enough. I am disgusted with the way this office handled my exam. If you as a Dr. don’t feel that you get paid enough from this insurance DONT TAKE IT! DONT PUNISH YOUR PATIENTS because of it either! I’m appalled and sick to my stomach over it.

I have been with Dr. Davenport for 3 years when he diagnosed me with gastroparesis. I have always had my colonoscopy with another dr. but figured since I was under his care would let him do it! The prep he likes to proscribe start at 6 p.m with 2nd dose at 2 p.m. Needless to say not much sleep that night. When he came in to see me prior to the procedure I said we needed to talk about 2:00 preps. His comment was its what worked best for him. What about the patient! During the procedure I vomited and aspirated, ending up in the hospital for 5 days with pneumonia! When he came by to check on me the next day I said I didn’t think he’d taken my gastroparesis (stomach doesn’t empty for 8 hours) into consideration and he admitted it was his mistake and we’d do something different next time! There will be no next time!

I went to Dr Davenport for my first colonoscopy. The prep was a breeze compared to horror stories I’d heard. The procedure was quick and easy. I may have had to wait a bit that morning but I’m in healthcare and I know things happen that are unavoidable so it was no big deal. I later went back for another personal issue and he was sensitive, professional and gave an accurate diagnosis and advice. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Davenport scheduled a colon scope for me while in the recovery room waiting for the results he took a personal phone call before finishing giving me my results letting me know whether everything was ok or not. Should of been first sign of his character. 30 pounds later he has not helped me at all. Consider yourself lucky if his office staff answers the phone. If you leave a message for him expect it to be two days later before he returns your call no matter how urgent the call maybe for you. To many decent doctors in Williamson County to go to this one. In my 50 years this is the worst care of ever received. In my 50 years this is the worst care of ever received.

I visited Dr. Davenport's office in January 2019. He scheduled me for a colonoscopy. The preparation for a colonoscopy is very taxing, especially on those with blood sugar issues like me. I arrived at 9:30am. 11:15am I asked the nurse how long, at that point I was nearing black out and let them know. At 12:30pm I had to cancel and leave after 36 hours of agonizing? prep. Others waiting let me know of his lack of timeliness. The nurse was nice, but I did not like Dr. Davenport. I will not return.

I have told my friends and church group locally here about Dr. Davenport. I was worried about my first colonoscopy being a female about having a male doctor. He put me at ease and spent time with me and answered all my questions. The procedure went smoothly and the staff were all very kind. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Davenport is without a doubt one of the best doctors I've ever encountered. I wasn't happy with my previous Gastro who was a bit condescending and wasn't willing to help in getting me a proper diagnosis for my silent reflux issues. I decided to see Dr. Davenport who was simply kind, patient, very knowledgeable, and willing to help. Took the time to listen, order the proper tests and helped me get to the bottom of my health issues. He's what every doctor should be. I highly recommend him.
