I met Dr. Church via his time at Cleveland Clinic circa the 1980's. He was a superb & reliable colleague with the great Dr Victor Fazio. My confidence in Dr Church was a close second only to Dr. Fazio perhaps because Dr Fazio performed my first end-ostomy when I was deathly ill with UC. Drs Church & Fazio knew my drive to return to Full Contact Football (FB & LB) while being the first Player to do so. I suited up only 3 mo post K-Pouch Surgery. It's a loss to the CCF not having him there at this time. If I were able to turn back the clock, he'd have been my choice for Koch-Pouch valve repair in 2009 when Dr. Fazio retired due to an illness. The failure of the other surgeon's attempts wound up excising my pouch thus setting me backwards to an end ileostomy along with short-gut and malabsorption syndromes as of 2009 with disability. Too bad I can't recapture that moment when Dr Church was still an option at CCF. My appreciation to Dr Church always! Read Less Submitted Jul 09, 2023

Wonderful doctor. Took time to answer all questions, felt like he cared. I feel like my recovery has been shorter thanks to him. Very knowledgeable doctor that made me feel at ease with putting my Healthcare and quality of life in his hands. Entire staff is excellent.

During a colonoscopy at the Cleveland Clinic, with only a minimal sedative and no anesthesia, my mother experienced extreme pain, asked the Dr. to stop, said it was very painful and he wouldn't stop. He said he wasn't finished. He continued to cut out several polyps. My mother was extremely violated and refused to ever go to the Cleveland Clinic again. We will never recommend Dr. Church to anyone. No one should suffer pain at the hands of any Dr. with all available in modern medicine today.

Dr. Church has been an amazing doctor for my husband and both of my children, all who have FAP, a hereditary colon cancer syndrome. We travel from Nebraska to see him and the other fabulous specialists at Cleveland Clinic every year.
