Dr. James Chudleigh, MD

My wife is in a nursing home suffering from dementia. Dr. Chudleigh is the assigned doctor to the facility. I received a statement in January from Dr Chudleigh’s office which is in the State of Maine. It stated that my wife was to pay for a “new problem”. I called Dr. Chudleigh to find out what the problem was. He did not return my call. In the following months my wife received additional statements for unknown services. I continued to receive statements from Maine. Last month I called one of his numerous offices in Texas. Again no return calls. Finally I asked for his cell phone number. His office stated that he has a cell phone but I cannot have his number. I have disputed all statements, and each month I receive another statement telling me that my wife’s bills are delinquent. I am yet to receive a single letter back explaining the charges. I have never dealt with a business exhibiting such poor business practices.

Dr. Chudleigh is honest, hard working and a fantastic physician. His patient care is excellent and he is very knowledgeable with over 40 years of experience. I would recommend him to family and friends without hesitation.

He is suppose to be the doctor caring for my other at an assisted living facility. He has never personally seen my mother, even though she moved into the facility coming out of rehab after being in the ICU. He sends a nurse praticioner instead. I have found out he has several corporations that he is affiliated with. So in my opinion he is making money off of Medicare and forget the patients themselves. I do not see how he can oversee that many nurse practitioners and provide care to the patients.
