Dr Akins is fantastic he listens and gives feedback on your issue and talks to you about options. Love his personality and his staff is awesome as well one of the best doctors I have been too my family also are patients and we all are very happy with this practice certainly a 10 star rating

Doctor Akins is very informative and thorough, he always takes time out for all his patients. I know for me specifically he has transformed my life for the good medically with his vast knowledge and experience.

I’m sorta a new patient per say. Just under a year being with him. Though, all visits I have been very pleased with each visit. He listens, he explains and does enjoy feed back

Dr Akins took time with me to answer all my questions & talk about treatment options & made me part of the health process instead of just telling me to do something, He actually walked through it with me. This is a New situation for me & expecially how Dr Akins showed me such respect to discuss the different options, I mean "How many Dr's do that"? Well thankfully I have found an outstanding doctor & he is now my primary care doctor because he made me feel like he really cares. Thanks Doc.

"DR" Akins is the worst internist, I was a patient of his for almost 5 years. I have thyroid condition (As my new physician diagnosed) He almost killed me or let me die. For 5 years I went to him with same symptoms/complaint and he kept pushing antidepressants instead of listening to me and my concerns. I found a real Physician who takes time, listens and now I feel amazing! No more antidepressant and thyroid is being managed. If I could give a negative star I would. Do not go to this incompetent arrogant man who practices medicine!

Dr. Akins and his staff are amazing! Both the Doctor and the nurses make you feel comfortable. They talk to you on a personal level... They always remember your personal background (where you work, what sports your kids play, etc). I love the personal treatment -- You are not treated as a number -- You actually feel cared for.

He is so knowledgeable. My husband and I have been patients for about 10 years. Every time we visit the office we feel so secure in his treatment. We would recommend him to anyone.

I found him to be knowledgeable and caring. He takes all the time you need and I never feel rushed through or like I am a number. He is excellent at explaining things so you can understand. I also found his staff to be nice and they take care of calling in medication refills etc quickly. I never have a problem getting to be seen because his staff will work me in when necessary. I appreciate the fine care he gives.

Dr. Akins is very professional and explains things with great detail. He doesn’t miss lead you by telling you what you may like to hear. If you have serious or suffering from multiple health problems and your Current Dr is not giving you the true facts, leave them and start seeing Dr. Akins. His staff if very professional too and treat the patient with respect. Dr. Akins doesn’t rush you in and out of your visit but spends time explaining things in detail. Dr. Akins is very professional in his treatment with patients.

Staff is intolerable. They are rude and condescending and never go the extra mile for patients. They act as if you are bothering them if you ask questions.

While I have only a few minor issues with Dr. Akins himself, I abhor his entire staff. They are rude and combative and THEY run his practice - you would think that they are the Dr. They have no compassion on the sick and they certainly display that openly.

Used to have confidence in this doctor but it seems that everything has gone downhill. His staff is rude and unprofessional. Many things have been missed or brushed off and I cannot remember ever being told it's time to check blood work or even any questions if I have had any other routine care (colonoscopy, mammogram, stress test, etc.).

Dr. Akins is a very caring doctor and good listener I never have a problem getting a appointment he has always went above and beyond to help me thanks doc

Dr Akins, is a great Dr, always takes the time to listen. Has a fast of knowledge. The best in the valley.

He fired me as a patient because I couldn't come to see him on time. But, HE is the reason I could barely move! He didn't know how to handle my thyroid and nearly killed me, had me on way too much. Thyroid levels are hard to understand and few docs get how to do it. It was a good thing though because it allowed me to get to the doc I am seeing now, who is very good and has me on the right dosage. My hair is finally grown back in and I have energy to live.

Great doctor! Listens to complaints and takes the time to talk to you.
