After ten years of seeing him with no major issues, I needed him to write a medical excuse for Jury Duty—just a few sentences. His office initially told me that no particular form was needed and that any letter from his office would suffice. They were wrong. Even after I sent them the proper form, they couldn't manage to do it until the last minute. It was like pulling teeth, but he did finally wrote two sentences and checked the duration box for "three months". He said at the time that I was probably "home free" due to my age (almost 70). Not so. I have since received two more summons for Jury Duty and after WEEKS of waiting for his office to write another letter, he defaulted on this claiming that I was being unreasonable. Incidentally, he has never appologized for any of this. In fact he has never apologized for even the minor mistakes his practice has made. If you're OK with this, good luck. But I've had enough and will be seeing a more sympathetic doctor shortly.
