Caring, personal, professional and calming.
I arrived Howard count general with ruptured intestines, completely sepsis and very, very sick due to infection & organ failures. Dr. Shaban worked with me non-stop, trying to get my body healthy enough for him to perform surgery, which ultimately included closing three enterococcus fistulas and an appendectomy. I was in and out of the hospital for 7 months. living on ice chips for IV supplements. Once my vitals and organs, along with weight was in a safe place, he performed my surgery to reverse colostomy, close fistulas, repair hernia, remove infected appendix, and then start my healing. He continuously provided me with assurance, words of encouragement and guidance. I am forever grateful for the care, compassion, empathy and comfort he ways showed me and my (extremely concerned) son during this time. I cannot say enough about His care and support. He literally and unequivocally (with God’s Grace) saved my life and for that we are eternally grateful. So Thankful.

Dr. Shaban was simply amazing. He made me feel comfortable, listened to my concerns and in a matter of seconds figured out what my problem was (which was neither of the two things previous providers had said it may be). Fortunately I actually ended up not needing surgery, but if I did I would have felt 100% comfortable knowing he would be the one performing it.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Shaban?
Dr. Shaban cared for me recently during an emergency admission to Howard County General Hospital in MD. He was so kind and attentive to my needs that I had to hold back tears -- having been treated by countless physicians and surgeons while battling colon cancer and never once encountering even the smallest kindness. I would recommend Dr. Shaban without reservation.
