Dr. Jaime Slotkin, DO

Jamie is a very good "matter of fact" - "gets to the point" doctor. I have been pleased with her care.

I can't thank Dr Slotikin enough for the care and concern for me and my well being during this emergency removal of my infected cyst. She was so calm and talked me through everything. It was a painful procedure because of the infection but it was handled with the best of care for me.

The surgery Dr. Slotkins provided was good, but my after care was bad. My surgical wound has descenced.(split open) and is not healing. I have done everything she has told me to do. At my last visit she was rude, told me I needed better nutrition and to quit smoking, th3n rushed out of the exam room. I tried to explain to her that I am eating well and quit smoking 3 months ago. But she was gone. They then gave my fiance a lesson in packing my wound and gave us supplies. He hasn't done it yet, but today I took out the packing and replaced the bandage cause it was soaked, I had clear pink fluid coming out, but as of today the packing and the bandage was soaked with yellow fluid, which I'm assuming is a infection. I need to start my radiation therapy but they canceled all my appointments until I can heal. I have left a message at the wellspan GSH wound center for help. Dr. Slotkin explained breast density as per mammogram and showed/explained mammo films but only after I asked for them.

I saw Dr.Slotkin in the Emergency room where she had to give me the results of my cat scan and then provided me with the pros and cons of surgery. She explained both (not pushing either), clearly, precisely, and easy to understand. I like straight forward people and that is what she was. She not only impressed me but my sons who are not local and needed to be called and they were impressed as well (individually), so once I decide what to do she will definitely be my choice. I do not need to be babied, I need facts and that is what I got. Excellent!

Dr. Slotkin was my discharging physician after my surgery. I had never met her before but she needs to work on her bed side manner. She was rude, condescending and abrupt. It was apparent she felt she was wasting her time. She asked if I had any questions and I replied with asking for a note for my job. She said with an attitude, "You need to call the office for that." Seriously? It would have taken her 30 seconds. So instead I was forced to call in the office when I was feeling rather poorly and get my note. I have never written a poor review before so you know it has to be pretty bad for me to do so. As for the rest of my stay at Tower Health, it was awesome. All the other doctors and nurses were wonderful and caring unlike Dr. Slotkin.

Dr. Slotkin is excellent. She's personable, caring, and to the point....which I appreciate - a lot! I hope I don't have to see her again, but if I do, I am more than okay with that.

Diagnosed with early breast cancer and referred to Dr. Slotkin. Such a great thing! She explained things so thoroughly from initial visit through biopsy and surgery, that I had no doubt about the procedures at all. The day that she called me with the result of the biopsy, she even came over from the operating room between patients, so that she could see my husband and I that day, rather than wait for my scheduled appointment. Wonderful physician!
