Absolutely zero reason to go to him. Terrible. Not personal at all, doesn't even feel like he cares about his patients. No consideration. I've had about 4 meetings with him and I've probable spoken to him for less than 45 minutes altogether. You should spend as much time as you can to find highly rated mental health professionals to avoid people like this. Literally no reason to ever go to him, there are so many better options. Avoid avoid avoid.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Rao Jakkula?
This dr has terrible communication skills, no bedside manner or empathy, and literally told me that all he does as a psychiatrist is prescribe medication. Very condescending when I asked about alternative outpatient treatment and implied that I can't afford anything other than medication or therapy (which is a terribly wrong assumption). I do not recommend at all.
