Great EDS doctor!
I have known something was wrong with my since I was born. Two years ago a geneticist told me I have hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and I never saw her again. I got on the list to be seen by Dr Courseault and waited 1.5 years (they told me it be would be a 2 year wait). I finally saw him and he's amazing! He did soooo much testing. Various Bloodwork, genetic testing, x rays, MRIs, tilt table test, etc. He really worked me up! And found so many things doctors never looked for in 37 years. Yes I have EDS, but I have many of the other problems that go along with it. I finally feel like someone is taking care of my whole body. He's done prolotherapy for my knee and prescribed me physical therapy for my neck and knees. He's prescribed me a tailor made vitamin and supplement mix based on my Bloodwork! This isn't a doctor who messes around. He's world renowned and very busy. But he read my whole chart and knew everything about me. Finally! Someone helping me with my EDS!!! A MIRACLE

Incompetent medical treatment
I was referred to Dr. Courseault , thru Tulane health system in May 2023. He did not see me until mid July 2023.The initial medical visit with him lasted approximately 5 minutes. He was abrupt and did not listen to me. He did not provide me with any pain medication. He sent me for an MRI. I went to the MRI appointment, laid in the MRI chamber for approximately 15 minutes, to only be told that Dr . Courseault ordered the wrong MRI for me.The second MRI was scheduled for August which involved injecting dye into me. This procedure was very painful.Dr. Courseault did not physically see me again until September 2023. He still had not prescribed pain medication for me..He never treated my condition. He never offered me a treatment plan.I ultimately went to another physician and in a matter of months had two total hip replacements after months of unnecessary pain dealing with Dr. Courseault’s inaction.

Dr. Courseault is amazing. He has changed my child’s life. He has recognized the under-diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos and has become an expert with connections to other experts, offering patients hope. He is not only incredibly intelligent, he is also very kind. We cannot recommend him or thank him enough.

Dr. Courseault has treated me for several things and each time he is vert thorough and he explains everything he is doing and how is should improve my symptoms. He takes the time to educate me on other modalities and physical therapy that can work together to decrease pain and increase range of motion and strength.
