Avoid if you want to live. Horrible
Worst Dr I've ever encountered. Dr. Joyce screwed up my mom's bone marrow test. Then, she would not treat her acute myeloid leukemia. She told her to go home and think about enjoying her last few weeks vs a super aggressive chemo that she might not make it through. We refused to accept that and went to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. MDA told us she would have died within days, if I had not brought her there. My Mom was in remission within a month at MDA. She's starting cycle 43 of chemo, and it's almost been 4 years since it all started. MD Anderson said basic blood tests were wrong from Dr Joyce, and the bone marrow (which never posted to her chart, but I have the print out) was not even analyzed. They don't even want my Mom having basic blood tests at IU now. Avoid Dr Joyce and IU Health at all costs, especially if you have leukemia. We live in Bedford, but drive to Community South for her local treatment now. They've been great as well.

Do not go to Dr. Joyce!!
Dr. Joyce was responsible for letting my mother die. She apparently has too many patients and cares more about the money than her patient. We kept looking to her to help my mother but she wouldn't listen. She looked my mom in the eye and told that she was not actively dying and that she could live a couple more years. She passed away less than a week later. Even the hospice doctor was shocked at the way Dr joyce handled my mom's case. Do not go to any of the oncologists in Bloomington. I wish I would have gotten my mom out of this town for her care. Go to an Indy doctor. Please!

Dr. Joyce treated my husband with grace and compassion as she walked with us through his cancer treatment for several years. My husband's prayer had been that he would 'finish well.' Dr. Joyce made that possible for him and I am forever in her debt.

I have heard from family and friends that have had experience with her and I would definitely stay away! I have not had good experiences with IU Health myself. If you wanna live go to Indianapolis and find a good doctor. Bloomington is lacking in that area.

Just being diagnosed with renal cell for the second time, Dr J. Joyce ordered many test I was so scared. When I returned she was upfront with me and asked to involve a kidney cancer specialist from Indy which I agreed. She was impressed that I was so much calmer and the reason why was because I sensed she truly cared and my health was her only concern. She made me comfortable and never rushed me. I would 100% recommend her . She is such a lovely woman to be a Dr.

Dr. Jackie is absolutely amazing!!! She sits and talks with you - no rush!!!! She so incredibly knowledgeable and caring. I've had to see her for my anemia and iron deficiency. If I would happen to unfortunately develop cancer she would no doubt be the doctor I would see. My friend's father went to her and she's who recommended her to me. He had EXCELLENT care as well. I can't say enough to describe how caring she is....and her staff :)

Dr. Joyce was completely professional and had the right amount of sincere empathy that allowed me to feel confident and comfortable in her office and with her diagnosis of which therapies to use for my stage 3 Colon Cancer.

Lovely & pleasant. As far as being a doc, I have to add you to my list of ignorant docs. I don't want to but had you LISTENED & READ my HX you missed why I'm anemic. You ONLY looked into some ciliac dx & when neg sent me packing. I HAVE: CKD Stage IIIB & Severe IBS along w tons others new diagnosis. I've been seeing Kawanishi & Ghosh for those problems. TERRIBLE that you ONLY looked at 1 thing for my B12 Deficiency Anemia. My kidney's are going bad. Sad I DX self after I read MY own labs.
