uncaring and unprofessional
In my experience, Dr. Jacob Wilson is little more than a human pill dispenser. During my two appointments, he barely looked at me (too busy charting, I guess), and he blatantly yawned several times. (Should I have apologized for boring him???) At my second appointment, he started the session by saying 'Good to see you again, Nancy.' (My name is not Nancy.) Much more concerning than that, however, is that when I tried to engage him in dialogue about my anxiety disorder, he was wholly disinterested/dismissive and suggested that I see a psychologist if I wanted to talk. After those two insulting appointments with Dr. Wilson, I wised up and found a different provider.

Highly recommended!
Dr. Wilson is very attentive. He asks how you are really doing in terms of your mental health and in daily life. He gives great advice, and let's you ask as many questions as needed until you are comfortable with the plan you have put into place with him. He's very caring and is a follower of the lord which in my opinion is even for the better! I would highly recommend him to anyone struggling with many different types of mental health disorders, even if you aren't a believer that is okay with him!

Dr. Jacob Wilson long time client
Dr. Wilson is a person of character and temperament that in my opinion, make Dr. Wilson perfectly suited for and passionate about his profession. For perhaps ten years, I have managed major depressive disorder, bipolar depression with psychotic features schizo effective and PTSD working with Dr. Wilson. If you are considering providers (I want to emphasize from my previous sentence "working 'with' Dr. Wilson". I am not ignored when I offer up my own opinions and my questions are never "brushed off." Dr Wilson guides our time together though, in order to ensure that the most relevant matters are covered. Above all, I like working with Dr. Wilson because we seem to operate with a scientific method of approach (even under such complicated circumstances) We have never made any definite preculsions to suggest that my care is only about managing a "baseline," of funcionality- we continue, when things are going well, to evaluate beyond "good enough"or "as good as it will get."

Disrespectful, wastes time, doesn't listen
I had seen Dr. Wilson for several years while working and going to school for a Masters Degree part-time and he had been helpful, especially during the most stressful times of COVID. Shortly after re-enrolling in school and having an unexpected death in the family, he changed and started making me have more frequent appointments for refills, in which he made many mistakes. When I was disappointed with him he called me multiple names on a virtual appointment such as paranoid and manic, and implied I only had success in school because I am bipolar/manic but high-functioning. I was told I could leave and get 3 months of prescriptions while trying to establish care elsewhere. I made a follow-up with him and tried to be nice but he continued being rude, personal, demanding, and hurtful. He said he would only do 1 month of refills when I told him I didn't want to see him again. Although I recommended him and his clinic to others in the past, now, I would recommend to stay away.

Dr. Wilson is above all, a caring individual. When meeting with him, he spends most of his time asking about how you are doing. He really takes his time with each patient. I recommend him highly
