SVT ablation patient.
Dr. Liang has fixed my problem and gave me my normal life back. SVT controlled the way I lived for years. I am forever grateful for this awesome human being! He takes the time to listen and answer any questions you have for him and making you understand how everything works. No rush at all. I’ve never looked forward to talking to a doctor so much before meeting him. Anyone in need of an electrophysiologist for an arrhythmia, this is your guy he is very good at what he does!

Complete lack of compassion/care for POTS patients
Was referred to him for POTS/dysautonomia. He was cold, unfeeling, and very matter-of-fact in his delivery of information. At one point he said "It could be worse." Then told a story about his friend that had it way worse. (Seriously? My life has been totally destroyed by this, at this point I was bedridden, but sure, I guess I should be thankful I'm not as bad as your friend...) He also only viewed POTS from the way it affects the heart, and completely disregarded other well-known symptoms of POTS because "That has nothing to do with tachycardia." While technically true, POTS is much more than just tachycardia. I felt like I was on an assembly line of patients that he gave this same script to. He gave me no hope of recovery, was very gloom and doom, and offered very little in terms of treatment, even though I know after researching later there are multiple other medication options. If you're scheduled to see him for POTS, request someone else! Worst visit I've ever had at U of M.
