Dr. Jackie Clowes, MD

I was referred to Rheumatology by an endocrinologist and a pulmonologist. Dr. Clowes was very cursory and abrupt. She did nothing to further investigate my diseases beyond what I had already had done. After 2 visits I requested in writing that she transfer my rheumatology care to another system. I have called her office to repeat the request. She has not done the referral to the other hospital, which requires the transfer request come from the rheumatology provider with whom I am established. It is very frustrating to feel dismissed and yet she has not made the referral so I can go to another system. In addition, all communications through eGuthrie are messages through staff that do not address my concerns.

This doctor was rude and condescending. She did nothing for me and didn’t believe my concerns. I was later diagnosed by a good rheumatologist with Hypermobility Ehlers adanlos Syndrome. She didn’t test me for it and I would not recommend anyone go to her. She was one of the worst doctors I have been to in my 61 years.

Dr Clowes has been treating me for SLE and I have seen no improvement in the years that I have been under her care. She has tunnel vision and does not try to consider the body as a whole and how it is effected. Suggests I see a different specialist for every minor symptom instead of addressing them as to how they relate to the disease. She refuses to speak to patients on the telephone and often the messages relayed through her staff are less than accurate. Her bedside manner is horrible.

I have had RA for 15 years and recently moved to the area. With a few small changes I seem to be better then every. Verry happy
