Dr. Jack Hamson Jr, MD

Dr. Hamson spent most of my visits looking at notes on the computer instead of interacting with me. When I ask questions, he stares blankly without making eye contact, and says he'll look into it. I told him that I'm allergic to sulfa medications of any kind, and it's in my chart as such, but he still prescribed a medication that says to not use it if you have a history of sulfa allergy. When I asked him about the safety of certain diet plans, he told me to 'just eat less'. Wow! If only it were that simple, nobody would be overweight!!! He is also really slow when it comes to writing up the visit summaries and it takes him days to fill prescription requests.

Doesn't seem to really care. Had a couple issues and all I got was 'could be' this or 'could be' that, not much help. Nice enough gentleman but I agree with a previous review that at times he just seems to stare at you without saying anything. Also slow on renewing prescriptions that run out.

He didn't even address the reason why the appointment was made in the first place, even though it was brought up repeatedly during my intake. Little to no bedside manner, will stare blankly at you, and ask you to repeat yourself over and again. We all have bad days, but I'm trusting my gut on this one. I won't be back.

Do NOT trust his diagnosis, get a second opinion immediately!
