I knew I had a blood clot. Dr. Branston told me that I did not and refused to scan my leg again because I had been in earlier that week and the scan showed nothing. But this time when I came in, my leg was now red and swollen and had a noticeable lump. He told me I cut myself shaving.. I hadn’t shaved my legs in months. And that was obvious. But I wasn’t about to keep arguing either and I regret it deeply. Two months later I died. I had to be brought back with CPR, VAV ECMO, and dialysis. My family is traumatized from my 15 days in the hospital and being told I had only a 30% chance of living and possibly losing my leg. My life will never be the same. But thankfully the right doctors were there at the right time and I’m forever grateful to the team that brought me back and continue to monitor me. I hope in the future you listen to your patients concerns, Dr. Branston. My daughter almost lost her mother at 5 years old.

Horrible!
My daughter went to the er and said she was worried about a blood clot in her leg due to the symptoms . He did not even scan her, now 2 months later she died and was brought back with help of the correct doctors, Ecmo, ventilator and dyalisis. We are so lucky she was saved.

Doesn't Listen
Unfortunately, Dr. Branston seems to make up his mind without really listening to his patient. He blew off our concerns about my wife's seizure and called it 'fainting.' (Except he used the technical term 'vasovagal syncope.') Too bad he didn't offer some explanation of his deduction. In the end, he used scare tactics to get us to leave the ER. Telling us that a lifetime of medication, no driving, no normal life, etc. were in store for her if it was indeed a seizure. Nevermind that there is LOTS of evidence of non-epileptic seizures out there. It seemed more important to him to have his mind made up than to listen, validate, and discuss potential nuances in medicine with his patient. What a disappointment.

He didn't answer my questions to why I am vomiting, having horrible constant abdominal spasms and constant nausea. He prescribed me a nausea medication that I have tried before and it doesn't help my nausea. So I continue to suffer with vomiting, horrible constant abdominal spasms and constant nausea. I have a high pain tolerance but my pain level is still at a 6.
