Dr. J Tedesco, DO

Went in for my first and only apt with him today. I was told several things, all of which were incredibly insulting: *I was told that because I've never been pregnant, I don't deserve to have opinions about it (AND NEITHER SHOULD HE) *I was told that he would not perform a tubal ligation because a red flag is that I'm in a "short term relationship" (NOT TRUE) *I was told that because pregnancy is temporary and that others get through it, it's not traumatic. (WELL IT IS FOR ME) As soon as i addressed my concerns with becoming pregnant and that i DIDN'T EVER WANT TO BE, i was immediately met with eye rolling, a condescending, and passive aggressive attitude about changes with MY body. This doctor told me I would regret a tubal ligation. Like i haven't heard THAT before. Take my advice: If you want your tubal ligation, haven't been pregnant, and have no children and NO DESIRE TO, find a better doctor who cares and will treat you with respect. I left his office in tears.

Dr. Tedesco is very knowledgeable, kind and efficient. I felt very comfortable with him during my second prenatal appointment.

First of all, let me start by saying that I never wanted to be a patient here. The terrible reviews turned me away. However, due to COVID-19, they were the only office accepting new patients. I am currently 6 months pregnant, and two months in a row I have been fat shamed by two different care providers, one of them being Dr. Tedesco. My body is a bit different than the average woman. For years, I have struggled with eating disorders, only eating the bare minimum for survival. Now that I am pregnant, eating only 500 calories a day is no longer an option. At my appointment yesterday, I was shamed for gaining 30 pounds so far in my pregnancy. “30 pounds? Already? You’re not even 2/3 done.” I explained to the doctor that I have struggled with disordered eating in the past, and now that I am eating like a normal person, my body is gaining weight fast. He replied “Well start eating less like a normal person and start watching what you eat.”

Never. He has never had a bedside manner, but who cares? He's always seemed a bit creepy and speech isn't his strong suit Except when you have a personal physiological problem that is not obstetrical in nature. I was treated rudely, with contempt and disrespect. Is this because I'm post menopausal? Who knows? Don't choose this man for your future. He gave me incorrect medical advice for 5 years that may have caused cancer in my future. His callous treatment disturbed me for weeks. You can find a better doctor.

Dr. Tedesco was the on call doctor who delivered my baby. My son surprisingly came early at 35 weeks and was breech. Dr. Tedesco was able to help me with a safe, fast and natural delivery. I couldn’t have asked for a more experienced doctor. I am beyond thankful and grateful that he was there the day my son was born. Absolutely the best!

Absolutely awful,his bedside manner leaves much to be desired,I guess because he's elderly he thinks he can be "Frank" with pregnant women. He was very unprofessional and made me uncomfortable to the point of tears. Cancelled my appointments with him,never went back.

I switched to Dr. Tedesco for my third pregnancy and was so impressed by the differences that he and his staff provide. I felt like I was treated as an individual patient for all of my visits and needs. He delivered two of my children giving me directions and support throughout. I highly recommend him as well as the staff.

Dr Tedesco always made me feel comfortable and always was respectful, his compassion help me get through the surgery as he reassured me all will be ok when he removed my ovary.The trust I have in him always makes me want to be his patient. I also brang my daughter to him and she loved him also so that means when it comes to your children we only want the best and only the best will do !!??

Switched to this office after having a horrible time with the obgyn associates in wilkes barre for my first pregnancy - could not rave any more about the entire office staff! Cathy, Kelly, Dr Tedesco - they have all provided exceptional care and have helped me tremendously with health issues and concerns during my pregnancy. Quick to get you in if you are having an issue, thorough and truly care about you!

Dr. Tedesco takes time with you, is personable, professional and really knows his stuff. It's not the most pleasant appointment for a woman to have and he makes you comfortable. Don't hesitate seeing Dr. Tedesco and I'm picky!

Terrible. This office sends you for tests and then doesn't contact you with the results for days later, but sends the results to your family doctor and they tell you about it. They really need help on their organizational skills and bedside manner.

He's terrible. His partner Ali and him couldn't be further opposites. Tedesco is rude and pushy, Ali is comforting and understanding, to put it bluntly.

At my first (and only) visit with this man he stood over me with his arms folded and tried to force me into a cervical exam. Who's gonna win here? is not something a Dr. should be saying to a patient. He was also going to strip my membranes WITHOUT using that terminology and without getting my consent, insisting that at 39 weeks, he gets things going. Disgusting. Arrogant. Bully.
