I'm glad he is retired and I hope is retirement is full of complex medical conditions which require he is forced to endure physicians who treat him as rudely as he treated all of his patients! ?????????

After years of enduring pain, Dr. Byrd preformed surgery on my back. Through the years, I consulted many surgeons. Finding Dr. Byrd was a blessing. He is a kind, compassionate and professional surgeon. Dr. Byrd took the time we needed to understand the surgery and post op recovery. His staff checked with us on a weekly basis for months after my surgery. Please consult with Dr. Byrd if you or someone you know has pain or limited mobility. I am so grateful for Dr. Byrd.

Dr. Byrd has been phenomenal. The lumbar 2 level fusion was a doozy. He also had to do a lamenectomy. I enjoy the short talks with him and he has been forthcoming on most of my pain issues. I am 4 weeks out and I am so much better than pre operation. Thank you Dr. Byrd and all of your staff and the hospital staff.

Perfect Dr. if you wish to be belittled, not listened to. talked down on and dismissed as being worthless and beneath him even spending time with you. Staff didn't present paper work brought with. Expressed out load that felt was being punked by doctor that made the referal and stated would get even with him! Oh, and don't be just on medicare. Asked about a brace and told he could get me one but medicare probably wouldn't pay for it and not brought up again. No room to write more!

I made an appointment for my husband over 4 weeks ago. The appt was today at 1:30. We were there at 12:40 and were told the wait would be at least another hour and 1/2 from appt time. We ask if they overbooked and they said no. No phone call from the office/text that they were running behind. No consideration for the patient. They said we could cancel and we did. No apology or explanation..they just did not care. Can make an appt easily but you have no idea what time you will be seen.

Dr. Byrd's clear and consise explanation of my procedure and what to expect was great. His time and care for me while I was in the hospital was even better. My discectomy was over two years ago and the only thing I can say is I wish I had done it sooner. Dr. Byrd and his staff are first class. Thank you for giving me my life back!
