Dr. Haskins was well-prepared for my clinic visit. She had reviewed my chart and had spoken to the physican who referred me. She reviewed all of the tests that I had and her interpretation of them. She was confident in her plan. She made the most of the time that we had together in clinic and prepared me well for my surgery. Not only is she knowledgeable, she is compassionate and really cares about you as a patient. She has followed up with me independent of my clinic visits even after my surgery.

Compassionate, skilled surgeon
Working in healthcare, I have encountered numerous doctors but Dr. Haskins stood out to be one of the most exceptional and compassionate doctors. She is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to ensure that you understand exactly what is going on with your disease process. Dr. Haskins and her excellent care team always made sure my needs were met and took such great care of me before and after my surgery. I would recommend her to all of my friends and family members.

Dr. Ivy Haskins
Dr Haskins was very caring, very thorough and explained everything in a way that I could understand. Preparation, including testing was done in advance with all results considered so that surgery needed could be completed in a manner to get the best results for me.

Horrible doctor and person
Seriously the worst. Does not explain anything in detail, which makes me think her knowledge is lacking, either that or she does not know how to communicate. Careless during procedures. I had many complications after my surgery. Do not let her operate on you. Must not take much these days for people to become surgeons.

Great Care!
Recently I needed surgery to repair a hiatal hernia. The surgery was completed after thorough testing to identify the issues, by Dr. Ivy Haskins. Dr. Haskins, and her 'team' (Dr. Felicia Thorson and RN, Alexandra) were fabulous! They all provided great, easily understood information, were easy to reach, and very responsive to calls and questions! Highly recommend Dr. Ivy Haskins and her team!

Surgery
Dr. Haskins is both a knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. Her pre-surgical evaluation was thorough and I felt confident of her decision to do my surgery. She was compassionate regarding my physical problems and was genuinely interested in me as a person. Her pre and post operative instructions made for a successful surgery and recovery. Her clinicians answered my questions to my satisfaction and in a timely manner and all times were profession and courteous. I'm thankful both for my successful surgery and the care and consideration shown to me by Dr. Haskins and her staff. Thank-you!!

Wonderful Surgeon and Doctor
Dr.Ivy Haskins is a Wonderful Dr and Surgeon. She explained everything in detail and was Compassionate, Kind and Caring! After Surgery, Dr. Haskins was wanting me to be Comfortable and She checked on me! I recovered very quickly! Thank You Dr. Haskins for everything!!

Dr. Haskins did Hiatal hernia surgery on me and it all went great!!! I’m so glad I got it done and I’m thrilled with Dr. Haskins, I have absolutely no complaints about her or her staff!!!! I would recommend and have recommended friends to go to her for this surgery!!! I used to take 4 Nexium’s a day and haven’t used any since!!!! Thanks Dr Haskins!!!!!

Excellent doctor
Dr. Haskins handled complications during my recent gallbladder surgery with skill and care. Thanks to her my surgery went perfectly and I am recovering quickly. Beyond her talent as a surgeon, she explains medical conditions thoroughly and in terms I easily understand. She’s answered every question. At no point did I feel I had less than her undivided attention. I feel fortunate to have been under her care.

When I First Meet Dr Haskins I Had some medical issues that stem from a Digestive problem to where I Regurgitate Most of my meals and sometimes even not being able to eat to 3 Hernias that plague me for years & Also a None Cancerous Lymphoma Knot on mid shoulder blade All That Itself was a Lot On The Plate Not only did Dr Haskins & Her Team Repaired my Trachea But also Tackled the 3 Hernias & Removed the Lymphoma Knot as well preformed by another Surgeon. I went from 170 steady loosing weight downward to Now 221 & Upward I'm Stoked ! I Have My Life Back Now ! & I Can Even Eat In Restaurants without any problems at all. I Give High Praise To Dr Haskins & The Nebraska University Medical Team & For the Professionalism & Care from the Bottom Of My Heart TY Dr Haskins U ROCK !!!

Dr Haskins is a phenomenal surgeon. Very knowledgeable and invested in her patients. Answers all my questions and shows great empathy with her patients. I would refer her to anyone who needs a surgeon. She truly wants the best for her patients and works hard for them both in and out of the operating room.

The worst doctor I have interacted with at UNMC. Did not provide me with options for my care, did not care to discuss lab results and imaging. Rushed out of appointment. Lacks empathy and compassion. Not fit to be a “Doctor”.

Not a good doctor, she is rude and arrogant. Terrible surgery experience with her, I was left with many complications after surgery because she caused them during surgery due to carelessness and sloppiness. Please avoid. Go to any other surgeon at UNMC, but not this lady.

Awful bedside manner, has a tone of voice as if she is talking to a 2-yr old, didn't listen to what I was saying, rushed out of appointment. DO NOT choose her to be your surgeon.
