Awake during colonscopy
I had a colonoscopy from this doctor in 2021. He used inadequate sedation and assumed that his altered protocol with reduced fentanyl and diphenhydramine is adequate. I am tolerant to both drugs. I remember him using the little claw to gather samples and speaking to his assistant. I also remember massive bleeding visible on screen. I felt incredible panic being this aware despite it being my third colonoscopy. I suffered from extreme chest pains at the end of the procedure as I experienced panic from being immobilized from the sedation and tortured on the table. I still suffer from panic attacks when I recall the procedure. This man should lose his license.

Horrible colonoscopy experience!
Dr. Ditah performed a colonoscopy on me which was extremely painful. My sedation did not work. I was completely aware of everything. I was crying out and the nurses had to hold me down. Afterward he was cold and unfeeling and seemed put out that the exam was difficult because I have a tortuous colon.

Horrible Experience
Horrible experience. Was awake throughout my colonoscopy. Excruciatingly painful. No one seemed to care that I was awake. I filed a complaint with Healthpartners and have heard nothing back from them. Wish I had read the reviews before going in for the procedure.

Horrible painful experience. Wouldn't recommend.
He didn't listen when I told him I was in terrible pain and clearly awake during colonoscopy. I heard every word , felt excruciating pain, asked him to stop, asked for more pain meds, no communication, he even told the nurse to 'calm me down'. I was writhing in pain for 40 staight minutes. I literally thought I was going to die. Most horrific traumatic experience I've ever had. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Dr. Ditah is a nice person, did a sigmoid on me. Wish questions would be answered regarding gastro issues I have. Trying to get appt is close to impossible. HealthPartners prides themselves on taking care of patients and they do, but trying to see my gastro guy gets a 0 from me.
