Dr Vial was highly recommended to do a breast reconstruction revision by my breast cancer physician. From my very first appointment, I was treated with such a wonderful amount of kindness and compassion from Dr Vial and his staff. He took time with me to clearly explain my options and answer all questions during what was a stressful time. On surgery day, one of the nurses told me I was very fortunate to have such a skilled surgeon and that he was the absolute best. He sure is! The care I received after my surgery from Dr Vial and his staff was wonderful as well and so important for healing. I am so beyond pleased with my results, highly recommend!

Dr. Vial looks at you as an individual. Your situation. You aren’t rushed. You know he’s above competent by reading his history and training. For me it’s important where they studied, interned, did their residency. Once I see a Physician how do they listen. What are my results Every box was checked with Dr. Vial. He is honestly the first person I’ve met in this field of medicine who cares about each patient individually. Now that I see him, I’m hearing wonderful things about him and things he’s done for other patients like myself. I can’t see needing or going anywhere else when I found a highly educated, gentle, caring and truly artistic Doctor practicing Plastic Surgery here in Bend. I’ve spoken to people who’ve had Breast reconstruction after breast cancer. Every kind of situation. I, along with many I’ve spoken to, speak very highly of him. I highly recommend him and I’m positive they would too.

Dr.Vial is the most amazing, wonderful, caring, talented doctor I’ve ever met. He not only takes great pride in his work but he cares about his patients. I came to him last year at a very sad and scary point in my life and he helped me through a preventative mastectomy process with kindness and knowledge. He made sure to explain every step of the 4 surgery process. I trusted him and trusted the process and the results are absolutely amazing!! I’ve also never seen a doctor more available to his patients than Dr.Vial, he cares and wants the absolute best for them. I never felt alone though any of my surgeries. Dr. Vial is a wonderful physician and has a great team. He is very professional, caring, and kind, My wife faced a serious condition and Dr. Vial and his staff walked with us with great skill, compassion, and encouragement. It was a long haul but they were with us every step of the way. He takes all the time needed to listen carefully and explain every detail of the treatment and recovery. His skillfulness restored my wife's beauty and gave her a sense of pride in her appearance. We are so very grateful to Dr. Vial and his wonderful team. I highly recommend him without reservation.

My husband was not healing from a hip replacement due to an infection at the surgery site for many months. Dr. Vial took part of my husband’s thigh muscle, attached it to the site, did a skin graft and closed the site. My husband healed over time with Dr. Vial treating him on a weekly basis. I cannot say enough about Dr. Vial. He is a professional plastic surgeon extraordinaire! Dr. Vial is incredible!

Dr. Vial took a piece of muscle and moved it near the site of a hip replacement in order to prevent an infection. While in the hospital he visited me daily looking at the site and making sure I was doing what I needed to do. After I was released my check up visits were thorough and relaxing. Both he and his staff were courteous and pleasant to be around. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Master of his craft and a truly good human. I have seen alot of Doctors in my life and most recently several related to breast reconstruction. I had a semi botched breast reconstruction surgery that left me with a mountain of issues. Dr Vial is amazing and although I have presented him with some challenges he has overcome them all so far! He is kind and has a sense of humor, I am a difficult patient because I question everything - he takes me in stride and spends time to address all my questions and concerns. Giving realistic expectations and providing reassurance and actually caring as if I am not just another name on the schedule. I highly recommend Dr Vial to anyone who might be needing a plastic surgeon in their corner. Underneath the mask I think he might even smile!

I was referred to Dr. Vial for reconstruction after breast cancer. Dr. Vial and his staff made this overwhelming experience feel manageable. I always felt like a priority, and he always took the time to answer all my questions, even outside of appointment times. I am able to walk away from breast cancer feeling positive and whole.

Dr. Vial is the best Dr. in town! I took my daughter to him for a developmental birth defect he went above and beyond all expectations. Not only did he do an amazing Job on the surgery's. He also helped us through appealing the insurance company three times to get them to cover a birth defect. When we first went to him I had already had a horrible experience with another company. He made the experience comfortable and he truly cares about his patients. I am so grateful to him for everything he has done for my daughter! I believe he is the only surgeon my daughter will ever see again. It was very hard for her to see a man Dr. but he was companionate and caring. Thank You for everything you have done for my daughter!

I would recommend Dr. Vial to everyone. His knowledge and my expectation blended into a great surgical outcome. The results were better than I was expecting. The staff is friendly and very welcoming. Dr. Vial is very punctual with his clients and makes you feel as if you are his only concern during your appt.

Dr. Vial has done two surgeries for me and I have been more than happy with each result. He is very professional and very knowledgeable. He also took care of speaking to my insurance company when they questioned his recommendations for me. His staff is very organized and helpful as well. After being diagnosed with breast cancer I knew that I wanted to have breast reconstruction & I had so many questions. Dr. Vial was very kind, patient & he answered all my questions. He explained each procedure option in detail to help make my decision process easier. I’m very pleased with the results & I would recommend him to anyone needing this type of surgery. There are not enough accolades to describe my experience with Dr Vial. I had major nose reconstruction - 3 surgeries - following skin cancer. Surgical skills that are frankly amazing. Less than 6 mos later even I have to look to see where he did what. I am back to my old self. Thoughtful, clear and realistic explanations - took time to explain and make sure I was (and my wife) understanding of what was to come. He outlined the expectations, process, options, risks and provided reassurance. Care and follow up that went beyond any possible expectations - hospital visits twice a day everyday and called too. Personally cared for post op wounds. Then when recovering at home made immediate responses to questions, concerns...and on Christmas to boot. A balance between artist and scientist. Dr. Vial & his staff have been amazing to work with. I was needing a 3rd revision for breast reconstruction due to breast cancer. Dr. Vial and his staff were so caring through the entire process. Unfortunately due to insurance issues my treatment was postponed for several months. Dr. Vial & his staff went the extra mile helping me get insurance approval (a nightmare in itself), staying in touch with me while waiting for insurance to approve, making sure my complications were not getting worse and giving me treatment options while waiting for approval. The care I received prior to and once reconstruction started was some of the best care I have received. Dr. Vial & his staff are so caring and attentive, it doesn't get any better. The reconstruction results are amazing to say the least. If you are going through a breast cancer diagnosis and need a plastic surgeon, I would highly recommend Dr. Vial.

If you want a Doctor/Surgeon that will go the extra mile for you, this is the one! First off, I can come across as a hard person to please, so it is sometimes hard for me to find a doctor/surgeon I like and that will take the time and patience to work with me and get to know me. Dr. Vial is that perfect doctor! From the get go, he was very patient with me. He listened to my concerns with as perfect a “bed side manner” that any patient would want. He explained my options and kindly explained to me what was realistic and what I would expect each step of the way. He took the time to tell me the “why” when something I requested was not possible, and it was only due to that it just wasn’t possible with what I was born with. He also explained why a procedure I had requested would not look “natural”. I really like it when a surgeon/doctor, especially in the cosmetic field will be honest and up front with you.

He did an awesome job on my breast reconstruction surgery! I am VERY HAPPY!!

As a registered nurse, I have the opportunity to spend a fair amount of time with doctors as they care for their patients. With this background in mind, I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Vial and the journey that we took together. He reconstructed my breasts after a skin sparing double mastectomy and they look good. My top priority when it comes to choosing a doctor is SKILL, and Dr. Vial has well honed skills. He is also meticulous, conscientious and kind.

He was super thorough, perfectly fixing every problem I had pre and post surgery.
