Dr. Urits really listened to what I had to say. Very knowledgable and compassionate. Provided a plan of care on the first appointment and assured me that he could help me be pain free.

Rude
Under no circumstances should you trust this egotistical Dr. He doesn't listen and stares at his computer he originally helped me for 2 years but apparently at my last appointment when I dared question him as to why he changed my medication that was working he got up and left me there and spitefully put me into withdrawals!!!!! He shouldn't be allowed to practice!! I never even received a letter required by law explaining why he ended my care? Left me suffering in chronic pain and the office mgr. Defended him telling me to go out of network? Why should I?

Highly Recommend Dr. Urits
I cannot say enough about Dr. Urits and his scheduler Lucy. Lucy is ALWAYS pleasant and kind and works with me to schedule an appointment that works for me.Dr. Urits has helped me deal with my chronic back pain. The injections have helped and have made my pain easier to deal with. Thanks to both of you! Keep up the good work!

Abrupt, obnoxious and dismissive
This doctor did not ask about my activity level or my goals to determine how to treat my symptoms. He did not check my range of motion, discuss my diagnosis and options in a kind and respectful/considerate way. Instead he was abrupt and dismissive asking me what I wanted for treatment!

Won’t leave you on narcotics.
Dr Urits is not me of the best pain medicine doctors I have seen. He will work with you to get what you want as far as a plan of action. I went to Boston and was told to get used to the pain and that I would be in a wheelchair the rest of my life. Dr Urits said I can help you and gave me hope. Not everything he did worked but he was moving in the right direction. Today I use a cane mist of the time and can walk further. My pain is less but far from gone.

Felt like I was totally lied to. Prescribed meds. that could easily do serious damage to you. Not even FDA approved! One med. he prescribed me caused heart issues and was well known to do this. I have had 2 heart attacks and this med. NEVER should have been prescribed to me!

My first appointment felt rushed. He spent very little time getting to know me as a new patient. I'm a senior citizen I had 2 injections into the nerves in my back and he didn't give me any pain killer or offer sedation for my procedure. I was told that I would be given something to relax me before the procedure and I wasn't given anything. I told him as I entered the OR and he heard me and just went ahead with the procedure anyway. It was a very traumatic experience for me. I was in a lot of pain during the procedure. Dr. Urits was insensitive to my needs as a patient Everything he does is hurried when it comes to patient needs.
